**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

I can hear BF voiceovers "Man Down!" which is in the same voice too as in all BF games.

I know it's an alpha but I've had enough of the game already. So bland, it definitely needed a single player campaign to drive sales as MP will be dead within 4-6 months.

Performs really well (similar to BF4) in single player which is nice. Was lagging quite a bit in multiplayer but I'm guessing that's server side.

EDIT: Getting good frames in MP as well. Can say I've noticed any major bugs yet, feels very polished for an alpha. As Nexus mention the object collision needs work but this is not a major.

Game play wise I would echo everything Nexus said. I can't say I'm really enjoying the MP yet but its early days.

Had a quick shot on my friends account. Looks great and runs nicely but that's were the positives end for me. Got bored after one round and turned it off.
 
Haven't played the game, but I get the impression, they are making it as accessible as they can to appeal to a wide audience to capitalise on the Star Wars name and obviously the movie.

Anyone looking for a decent new game to move on to from BF4, will probably not find it here...

The graphics make me excited for BF5!
 
Why is it a waste? it makes an nice change from your normal been there done that fps like cod,bf an various other clones.

Imo it's the best SW fps to date,if you're going to slate it at least wait till the end product is released as alpha's an beta's aren't the end product.
 
Problem is the map isn't great as it's very narrow, not much cover and the TTK is actually very high, higher than BF4 anyway. Makes for some frustration. Perhaps a bigger more open map and a different game mode would be beneficial. They'll likely introduce something in a few days time like they usually do.
 
I loved my quick 60 mins earlier. It's a rush map sort of and it's really good fun. I went 50-17 at one point. Once I changed some controls to map to my Razer Orb-thingy, I was flying. The hit reg seems perfect. The sounds are amazing for anyone who likes Star Wars. The only issues are

- Only uses one card but hits 70-90fps at High
- Occasional stuttering
- No squads so spawn back and lose 30 seconds to regain ground
- Roof - or should I say - rock campers

But pls do not pre-order this. Wait until release. This is DICE... the same developers who ruined BF3 and BF4 at launch.

My two cents.
