Oh my god. I've seen Alpha footage before but nothing like this... I don't know whether to cry or be excited considering we'll never get to play that version.

I have no doubt DICE will do something decent, but that video looked amazing, seemed to capture the Star Wars vibe pretty spot on. So many vehicles, different looking stories, characters canon and new.

Please, please, please don't mess this up.

I want to be immersed in the game with HUGE AT-AT walkers next to me as i'm running along.

This is the main reason i've got high hopes that DICE will deliver a good mix of vehicle/infantry combat.

They're got the proven track record.

shame DICE probably won't be able to match it I just know that they are going to take BF 3 or BF 4 and just put a "skin" over it

Regarding the vehicle and infantry balance, I do worry about that a lot as imo the balance between the vehicle and infantry is awful in BF 3, dread to imagine how it will be with even bigger/more powerful ground vehicles and aircraft. Hoping they keep the aircraft part completely separate from the infantry based matches i.e. like in BF 2

That's an old video, that isn't Frostbite 3, it's Free Radical Designs unfinished version before DICE took hold of it.

The Free Radical Design logo is even on the video.

With respect to my earlier comment I only have experience with bfbc2.

Did not realise that bf3 was that imbalanced.

Yeah BC 2 was more or less perfect regarding that, with BF 3, it just isn't imo, unless you are on with a bunch of friends on TS..........

Heard they have registered the name 'Attack Squadron' for a game hope its not a rubbish tablet game my fingers are crossed for something along the lines of X-wing Vs Tie fighter.

Going by BF3, I reckon this won't be a bad game. It's the player base that will ruin this. Think about it, a hybrid cross between a COD player and a starwars geek. It's too horrible to think about!

I'm more worried about the Battlefield/COD freaks mobbing this game. I don't want Battlefront to be a serious shooter, there's enough of those games already to choose from. The first two Battlefront games were pick-up-and-go shooters that make you feel like a Stormtrooper/Rebel in the Star Wars universe.
