****Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker - Official Thread****

This. I thought Ep1 was the worst Until Ep8. As far as I'm concerned Jar Jar binks disguised himself as a Human & got into the the directors chair. It would give me more reason to hate him. :D:p;)
Agreed. It’s amazing how good the prequels are since Rian Johnson’s utter raping of all things Star Wars.

I still don't understand why he was given the job, he's barely directed anything. If you include TLJ he's done 5 actual movies. I think a bum on the street could have got the job that day, Kennedy musta been snorting a few lines.

He directed 'Ozymandias' in Breaking Bad, considered the best episode of any TV show by many. I don't necessarily think the directing part was awful, it's the writing that's the killer. He's proven that he's an **** writer with TLJ.

PSA - Tickets go on sale Tuesday, so I'm guessing late Monday/midnight.
Wow I'm so interested in this film that I hadn't even realised it was being released in December. I used to be a die hard Star Wars lover from the original in my childhood. That shows how much they have wrecked the brand.

Indeed, this is how I feel.
I won't go to see it, as i feel they need punishing, but unfortunately we'll be punishing the wrong film.

There was no "boycott" of Cpt Marvel  Some people didn't like the Actress and the Actress alone, not the film.

People still wanted to see the "character" just incase they had a big part to play in End Game.

Yeah, I thought I'd punish them by refusing to see "Solo", but they refused to accept it, instead blaming the fans by saying how films with "white male leads" don't do well. Instead I'll have to punish then with Episode 9. Disney only understand money, so the only way to get the message across is to deny them yours.

In the end, I think that the car crash of stupidity that was Episode 8 has just killed my interest in the franchise, and now it's up to Disney to do enough to tempt me back. Just rolling out the same old drivel again isn't enough to get me paying to see the films. I've learnt my lesson not to get excited by things that will leave me disappointed.

The huge success of TLJ is surely justification enough. Huge box office sales, great reviews, and fabulous DVD/BluRay sales. On any sensible objective metric it was a huge success.

The only measure on which it wasn't is stroppy "fans".
