****Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker - Official Thread****

So I think Sky News just dropped a major spoiler without even realising it. Even though I don't think its actually a big surprise tbh, but be warned should you click....

So its all just big emotional moments and fanservice with rubbish characters that no one cares about .

But while performing this "fan service" it irreparably damages the legacy of the original trilogy. The only story that truly mattered, the sole reason for the multi billion purchase. Wrecked. And once the whinging and hysterical screams of forced laughter die down on youtube channels we will all realise that this is not something that we will be able to fix or "despecialize" as a community or revert back in future movies...

Some "interesting" images floating around twitter about this movie, mobile phone stills from a screening.

I've seen a few of them.

There's one of a pyramid shaped prop that looks shockingly bad, if it's legit' Disney should be utterly ashamed of themselves. It looks like something from the 60's Dr. Who.

Would have been unfair on this trilogy if they'd done a decent job of the last one. Continued the car crash themes and writing, even the final cut wasn't very well put together. Still a free night seeing all three in imax and it didn't feel like time wasted (although they tried to lucas that too by showing 8 before 7).
