** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

Harrison is one of those guys that seems to be particularly unlucky when filming these sorts of movies, but he always bounces back.

In Raiders of The Lost Ark he and the crew were struck down with food poisoning while filming scenes in Turkey. He also had his foot and knee injured (tore ACL) filming the scene where he fights the German mechanic.

In Temple of Doom he injured his back (herniated disc) while performing a scene and had to be flown back to the US for back surgery.

There is probably a ton more over the years in his other films, but can't be bothered to look.

That's why when he comes up against the Sword wielding Geezer in the Street, instead of some convoluted trick with his Whip that was written in the script, Harrison said in an interview, he didn't have the energy to do what was asked, so he just pulled his gun and shot him! :D

Worse than his ankle then. Guess there will be a lot less of him in the film.

Unlikely they would re-write the script just because of some delays. Remember, its not like he has to be rehabilitated to the extent he can play professional sport or anything, he just has to be able to move relatively freely with no obvious injury, they can save any 'action' scenes until the end of filming.

While he isnt a spring chicken, he looks to be in extremely good nick for his age and he will be receiving the absolute best medical care, physio and diet to make his rehabilitation as quick as possible.

He looks 70 these days, I would hope any action scenes are limited anyway and most of it will be him flying the falcon. Even then I would hope he's turned the ship over to a son/daughter. He looks haggard old.

Rogue charm really can't be pulled off at 70.
