Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

I had to turn off windows hdr it looked so washed out
Same, Fallen Order looks a lot better in HDR, I was playing it last night.

Only just played the opening scene but once you break out into the more open areas its ******** the bed quite a lot. 5120x1440, epic settings, RT off, FSR 2 on. Between 50-70 fps on my now rather modest 3090/I9900k/32gb ram, lots of stuttering as reported. Will probably have to faff with some settings later when I play properly. Oh well, back to work.

Considering the requirements to run this game and the eating of Vram I would expect it to look a lot better, its hardly an upgrade IQ wise from Fallen Order. To my old eyes at least.

Performance isn't too bad for me at all on PC once you get past the first area.

Playing at high/medium in 1440p, comfortably sitting in the high 70s / low 80s. Occasional stutter, mostly when getting to a 'new' area so similar to how it was with Fallen Order.

I am getting the occasional bug where there is no audio or the sound is completely desynced, a friend of mine playing on Series X said he had the same thing so that looks to be across all versions and not just PC (woo, lucky us).

Well it's certainly gonna be a benchmarker, FPS is all over the place, seeing lows of around mid 40's up to around 90 (probably average 70-80) with everything untouched (I think maxed with RT on). I am only in the first area as don't have time to play it properly but thought I'd give it a test.

Intrigued to see what the Day 1 patch brings, but also where's the Nvidia game profile!?

Not interested in paying full price for 30-40 frames on a 4090. Broken HDR. Maybe they fix it, but they don't really deserve full price for it now.
That's fair!

Does anyone know if the Day 1 patch dropped? I went to make a coffee after booting up the PC so have no idea if it updated or not... (and doesn't seem to be a way to tell from the EA app...)

I'm basically just wondering if this is the 'best' day 1 performance we're gonna get, or there's hope of the patch coming later today :D

If Respawns other patches are any indicator they usually drop in the AM Californian time so they can monitor from their side so likely around 4 or 5pm.

Don't wanna defend them too much cos it's obviously not ideal across all platforms but 100% it is worth getting past the first area to get a read on performance.

I was between 55-60 during the first area (with drops) and as soon as I got through that it really levelled out. It's not suddenly giving me 120fps at ultra but it's noticeably more stable.

The game doesn't even look that much better than the previous one but runs like a dog **** at the moment. (waiting to be jumped on by the developer *** licking brigade saying it is the hardware at fault)
From what I’ve seen the map is much more open meaning a lot more needs to be shown. The prequel was very much limited by previous gen consoles. Maybe they’ve bitten off more than they can chew?

11600k / 6800 @ 1440p

getting 60fps pretty constant with not much stutter or anything (just in the first section at the moment)
everything on max except for no ray tracing and have quality FSR on

crikey - RT on looks amazing, but only 35fps now!
