Star Wars VIII : The Last Jedi [WARNING: SPOILERS]

It's still not right :)

Have you watched the clone wars episode that actually explains how Anakin was supposed to bring balance to the force? It is not about destoying the Sith, the Jedi missinterpreted the prophesy, watch Overlords, Altar of Mortis, Ghosts of Mortis. It's shown that the Light side and the Dark side are equally important part of the Force.

Kenobi has no knowledge of what went on at Mortis when he screams that Anakin was supposed to destroy the Sith and neither does Anakin because they wipe his memory when he turns down the chance to bring balance to the force as is intended.

I'm pretty sure I'm right but was ages ago I saw that rebels episode and even longer since I read stuff about the old republic so I'm not going to argue as I can't be bothered to re-read/watch for research :p

I really struggle to think of any bad-ass actual moments in both TFA and R1. Rogue One has a much better plot and better coherence but not a lot of bad-assery really? Except for Vader at the end maybe.

Kylo stopping the blaster bolt mid air was probably the most 'badass' display of power out of all the films really. He was awesome until he took the mask off and turned into some emo gimp lol.

I genuinely dont get the love for rogue one that people have. The bot was pretty funny but then they usually are. But the rebellion hinging on getting the death star plans and with all the soldiers they had on that planet helping to cause 'diversions'. They didnt think they could pick one to accompany the pilot rather than a random unqualified non military girl? Surely you would have sent the best you had into that tower not a random civ.

Forrest needed more screen time/backstory too, almost felt shoehorned in. Same with Donnie Yen.

Agreed on all points. Kylo Ren looks like Napoleon Dynamite, he lost all menace as soon as he removed his mask. Forrest was thrown away, what a waste. I don't get why people were raving about this movie, it was so poor. And what exactly is the point of stormtrooper armour? It doesn't stop lasers and that girl was able to knock out troopers by just hitting their helmets with a stick...it was the same rubbish as with the Ewoks in TROTJ.

Looks just as terrible as #7... JJ Abrams officially killed star wars... at least his Star Trek wasn't quite as bad.

As others have said, JJA murdered Star Trek. Under his watch we got:
  • Bones curing death using Khan's blood
  • Khan removing the need for Starfleet using transwarp beaming
  • Spock and Uhura being ludicrously unprofessional and having a row in the middle of a critical mission
  • The whole Spock & Uhura thing
  • Scotty doing an impossible pull up after his Fast & Furious jump out of the proton torpedo into a cliff-hanging finale
  • etc, etc
I'll actually give him a pass on TFA. The fan expectation was equal to that for TPM and he did a damned sight better job that Lucas. Ok, so it's a rehash of Ep IV but it had some great moments and actually showed a great pilot being a great pilot (Poe).

the epic space battle is what made rogue amazing

How NOT to do a trailer, bloody hell that was terrible. Even the Stars totally disappeared at the 47 second mark. They must have been in some mad rush assembling this to get the word out.

I miss movie trailer voiceover guy. Almost every trailer up till the 90s had a voiceover.

But yeah, I think that trailer was rushed out.
