Steam Summer Sale 2011

Picked up quite a few games on Steam recently between this and the Potato sack a few months ago. Good timing too since I built a new PC last weekend :D
 
I added Jamestown and Kings Bounty to my list of games.

I'm a bit gutted that I didnt get Spacechem, I looked at it and didnt like what I saw.

After reading player opinions though it seems like a good game. I had the same opinion with Jamestown, but I bought it anyway as I should have done with spacechem :(

Defense Grid is beyond quality. I cant remember the last time I played a game where 14 hours felt like I had only been playing for 1 :x. (I had my initial OMG this is awesome marathon, and now I'm done with that - got a gold medal in every level in the first campaign).

Bit gutted I didn't buy Defense Grid now but hopefully they'll put it back on sale on the last day. Downloaded Batman whilst I was asleep and GTAIV is hopefully done by the time I get home, then its FC/FC2 to download :o

I hope there isn't anything I want today but I'm bound to buy something for cheap :p
 
Just a quick questions. My friend has just bought a gaming PC and hasn't hooked it up to his home Wifi yet. He has no email address (lol).

If I already own a game and buy a second copy of it in the sale, can I gift it to him at a later date when he has an email account? or do I need to set up an email address for him now?

You'll need to set up an email account for him, can't gift a game without the persons email address.
 
Just bought Batman Arkham Asylum. After 30 mins I can say its really good. I all ways thought superhero games were a little naff so stayed clear but glad I bought it.

Graphics look pretty sharp as well :)

I think you'd need to already have his email address set up as it asks you when you buy the gift where to send it. Not sure if it's possible to just buy the gift and then send it later.

You can send the game to your own email address and not claim it and then send it to who ever at a later date. If you can't find his email address in time.

Money well spent mate, one of the best games out there!
 
I want sanctum after watching that video someone posted earlier D: Looks really good in co-op mode. Tower defense is a great game genre.

Bingo.

Just get the gift emailed to your own address. Then when you're ready, either just forward him the email, or add him on Steam and resent the gift.
