Steam Summer Sale 2017 - 22nd June

Ahhh I spent many hours on RTCW MP back in the day!

Really do like the New Order story so far. The cut scenes are great too.

Unfortunately I seem to be at a part of the game which is fraught with issues when played on an RX480. Changed drivers and now the frame rate has plummeted drastically. Damn it!

Just noticed a few posts on the Steam Link too. Does that mean I can have my PC in one room, the Link connected to a TV in another room and have the same experience as if I was playing on the PC?

Exactly that, although you will want a wired connection and a good bit of hardware grunt. It also only outputs at 1080p. That said, when link works well it is brilliant.

Is Squad worth buying considering I play Pubg?

100 x yes.
If you jump onto the squad thread on here one of the devs drops by with updates every week and likes to answer questions.
It's a game which you would appreciate more if you had some lads to jump on with. The game devs are top notch just like the pubg guys. Lots of additional stuff added every few months.

Right. No more games for me this sale I think. I have bought all the strategy games that I want and I'm busy playing an MMO so don't really have much time for other games either.

I'll just continue to wait for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen and Chronicles of Elyria as they should enter testing at some point this year.

Finally took the plunge and added to my Steam list of (un-played)shame:

Portal 2 (£1.49) - Have the first but not played yet so may well do them both soon.

Mass Effect Collection (ME 1&2) (£5.74) - Think I'm one of the 2 people left alive that hasn't played this series, so looking forward to the story.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons (£1.09) - Heard very good things about this and it was very cheap so why not.

Hyper Light Drifter (£7.49) - Very nice retro art style and pretty challenging so far; expect to die a lot. :)

Stardew Valley (£6.59) - Fancied a more relaxing game and something a bit different.

Zombie Army Trilogy (£5.99) - Saw randomly on the front page - L4D with Nazi zombies basically; looks pretty good tbh even though the zombie thing has been done to death.

Got X-COM complete for a fiver. Haven't played them before but few mates always bang on about them. Quite enjoying it so far, although it can be incredibly annoying when someone dies.

To those of you that has Payday 2, is 40 Euro for the Ultimate Collection a good price, or should one wait and see if it goes down later ion the year ?? Or should one start with Payday 1 first, or wont matter ? Seen others playing it on Twitch and liking it sort of, so debating if I should buy it or not.

Oh man, you should had picked up it when it was free few weeks ago.

Waded through the popular triple a crap this sale and dived into the indie stuff instead.
Limbo - finally got around to it and it reignited a love for platformers.
Shelter - love the art style and idea of simply surviving. Did lose a cub and felt worse than I have ever felt in a video game.
Hyper light drifter - saw an hour of a lets play and it had me hooked. Props to the dev for remaking the game for 60fps
Firewatch - Art style and writing look to be great and rumours of a terrible ending have baited me in.
Wuppo - strongly recommended by SuperBunnyHop's "games from my inbox" and is called Wuppo, what could go wrong?
Hollow Knight - Been on my radar for a while and drew me in but I don't know why. Hand drawn art is beautiful and it's got some old fashioned platformer charm.
Toast Time - I like toast.

Yeah I know now. But before Sunday I only seen them go in with gun blazing and wasn't really my thing, although on occasions I guess it can be fun. Sunday though they did a stealth mission and I like that part, hence started to think of maybe buying it. *shruggs* but as I said, not in a rush so can always wait and see if price goes down.

Gonna google all these :D

Took a punt on sniper 4 for £20 and really enjoying it so far. First one in the series I've played so it's all fresh but good to play a decent ww2 single player game again.
