Higher than I was expecting. :)

One for the old R9 290 pro. Ran with the new 16.2 driver release

4790k @4700
Powercolour PCS+ 290 (Elpida memory) (1100/1350)
Rating 7.4 (Was 7.3 with previous 16.1.1 driver)

I did also try to see if my oldest sort of useful pc was remotely capable (Win7 64bit, 4gb ram, Optron180 +R7 250) but the app doesn't even start due to an error opening engine2.dll.

However, I did get to test a my not so old machine, PhenomII 965 @3800, 4gb and a Radeon HD6950 which surprisingly also received the 16.2 catalyst update.

It's nice to see the r9 290 cards getting into the ready section where nvidia flagships of the same year are not. Glad a brought my 290 now.

Tho I'd like to stop it sounding like a 747 during heavy gaming ;-)

Its a bit screwy with NVIDIA cards - it lists the 570 as at the high end of capable, but the 580 as not cabable and then the 780 no better than a 570

Saw a user on Reddit who had SLI 780's working so thought I'd give mine another shot. This time worked straight out of the box. A 66% improvement over my best single card score.

Win10, driver 361.43, GPU clocks 1215/1201

6.4 on a watercooled Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 with the 15.12 radeon drivers. Seems a bit low compared to others with 290's.

My loop is definitely in need of a clean and I'll try the new drivers as well.

EDIT: Identical score of 6.4 with the 16.2 driver.

EDIT 2: Up to 7.6 after some overclocking of the card. Rather chuffed now :)

I've upgraded to Crimson (which has had some unfortunate consequences).

Installed 16GB of RAM.

I've jumped from 5.9 to 6.3.

But at least it's an increase. And I'm still pretty impressed that my fairly old and cobbled together system is considered 'Ready'.

But after splurging out on the Vive (assuming I can order tomorrow) the next big purchase will be a graphics card...

6.2 with just one GPU on my 7990 and a 2700k at 4.8ghz. Will try and get Xfire working.

6.6 with the latest drivers, afterburner suggests Xfire is working but I didn't think it could in windowed mode.

Not to shabby. But my pockets aren't that deep for the actual VR hardware, whether that be Vive or Rift.
Going to have to wait this out a little until the price drops to a more realistic figure!
