Stem Cell (petition)

petitions generally wont do anything. so forget about that :p
also, by the time anything from a petition would or could be done, you would be long dead like the rest of us.

I agree, this thread is far too confusing in terms of what you are trying to achieve.

This thread is so vague it almost sounds like a scam...

Provide far more information about what you want or dont bother at all tbh

Still confused..

Some stem cell treatement is available on the NHS - Take some time to give us more details?? :)

This thread is confusing, I think the OP needs to make a more concise post explaining what he is trying to achieve.

I gather he has a rather nasty disease that can be cured using experimental stem cell treatment. China do this treatment however is expensive and costly - are you requesting we sign the petition or donate? I don't understand.

Explaining why is the way forward we aren't trying to have a go we just are trying to understand.

Stem cell research & treatment is a huge can of worms though and such a moral and ethical minefield - probably why it's not so readily available here in the UK.

they treated MS patients OK, the Article is in the Sun, I do know this country is well behind on SC research, China doesn't give a No Swearing!, that's why China are number 1 for research, Beko is well known China have 6 State of the Art hospitals dedicated to Stem Cell therapy.

First successes with innovative stem cell therapy in Europe.

Probably not available because it hasn't been through uk approved clinical trails proving it's safety or effectiveness. Just like many other chinese treatments like herbs and acupuncture that don't work.

It's too experimental at the moment and the cost would be phenomenol for the nhs especially with neurodegenerative conditions.

Could suggest finding some trials that offer therapeutic stem cell treatment

No, not at all. Stem cell research is highly restricted in this country, it's not an area that is easy for science/medicine to advance in this country, and for certain types of culturing stem cells entirely morally correct.

I know Britain is full of do goods and political objectors.

a good quote from CSC

Yeah but you are hardly an unbiased person on the matter of stem cell research are you? You have A LOT to gain from it being pushed through in this country.

Stem Cell should be hugely encourage.

With the recent announcement that there is a chance that stem cells can cure MS, there shouldn't be any reason to stop stem cell treatment.
