To be honest I don't think OcUK have to do anything at all, they can't be blamed for unseen events like server problems, the fact they've upgraded some people is pretty impressive but they can't be throwing expensive cards around to everyone.

Yeah fair enough they're trying to make people happy but at the same time they are making other people feel very cheated :(

At least im getting one of the things i ordered now... fingers crossed its the right thing this time!

Exactly. If you get upgraded you're lucky, if not then you're still getting a refund. From what I've read so far, very few people were upgraded to a 7800GTX.

Yeh I also feel a little conned that the people who ordered 7800GT's get 7800GTXs.... why can't they have the refund and we get the GTX's, since that is what we ordered....
I'm not really annoyed about it, I've got my money back, but I'm just a bit miffed that despite making my order at 4pm for a GTX I get a refund whilst people who ordered a GT at 8pm (for example) get sent a GTX.....
 
Been refunded, doh. Some of you ought to notice how I'm not crying and complaining that I wasn't upgraded to a GTX. I was unlucky, move on... etc lol

Oh well I'll just treat myself to a X1900XTX :D

Yeh I'm not really complaining, still got the rest of my order through and I got a refund, I don't need the new card. But it seems a bit odd how the people with the smaller orders hours later got the priority.
Thats life I guess :p

Also probs gonna be getting a X1900XTX when I upgrade ;)

I am one person trying to make as many people happy as I can. Any other place would have just refunded everyone or just sent a generic email out.

I understand people feeling miffed who ordered GTX's and I hold my hands up and apologise for not seeing and sorting those first. What I will offer if for those who ordered the GTX's when your next looking to purchase from OcUK email myself along with the order number you have which was for your GTX card thats now refunded and I will sort you out a discount or offer you something better for similar money.

I was on here until late last night trying to help out customers, I've come into work this morning to try and help/resolve the situation and am still trying to do so. At the end of the day I have offered you some great clearance deals but as common sense would say clearance deals are very limited stock wise and there is always a chance you may miss out.

If people are still unhappy and don't think its enough I was trying to assist into the late hours last night, have come into work this morning to assist further and have already upgraded several customers and offered others who were unfortunate to miss out this time round a discount on their next order as long as they supply me their order number for the GTX they tried to order then I am baffled as what more can be done. No other Etail would go to such lengths to try and please.

Fair enough I understand its OcUK fault for our system not working as they should but such things happens and when they do most other etailors just refund and thats it but I am trying to provide extra service to OcUK customers, just shocks me that some cannot see that.
 
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate what you're going through, but you did say people who ordered before 9PM would be upgraded, and people after would be refunded. I was refunded and I ordered at around 8.30 :D

I'm not going to cry, but it would be a nice gesture if you could retain some of the nice prices on the X1900XTXs in next weeks 'This Week Only'. Otherwise I'll be screwed completely as I won't have enough money to buy it until the refund goes through.

Sorry, I wasn't meant to come across as I was complaining if I did, I think you've done a great job with this problem, and I am happy with my money back, the offer of a reduction on the next purchase is great customer service and value and evidence of the reason I shop from here rather than other e-tailers.
