id say you wont be getting them because people who ordered 2 GT's get nothing i think.

Thats strange. I was allowed to order 2 and even charged for it, and now might not be getting any simply for the reason that I ordered 2? How else can you run them in sli :/

There was an error in the system last night. OCUK had about 2 of those cards in stock and received at least 50 orders. They've had lots of problems with them and most people have just had their orders cancelled. If however you ordered other items, they are just shipping those anyway and refunding you for the items they can't send.

Oh :/ How do I cancel my order then as the rest of the parts are no use to me whatsoever without the gfx cards?

I ordered an x800xl agp on friday along with a few more items at 6.30 and have still to get a dispatch email, so i dont think ill be getting it. it would be nice if they sent everyone who is getting refunded an email, that way everyone would know where they stand. Ill need to wait and call on monday to find out whats happening.

Yeah iv been at work all day today so I havent had a chance to contact them or anything. BTW just checked my emails and I received my order confirmation email from ocuk at 21 April 2006 17:26:59, so I must have ordered just abit before that. Were the cards in stock then or has anything been said about orders placed around that time? Thanks for the help btw :)

But it doesn't because most people got shafted. I don't know where the fairness lies in giving some 7800gts, some gtxs and some a refund. Everybody should have been on a level grounding. I ordered a whole system including two 7800gts for SLi purposes. I doubt I'll get any of that, and I have no dispatch confirmation so... I am a bit cheesed off, and yes, I don't like it that some people went away with awesome graphics cards - it's like the opposite of fairness...

It absolutely ****** me off more then anything knowing that I could have ordered 1 if I had known that I wasnt allowed to order 2 for sli. I would have been perfectly happy with one, and I ordered quite early aswel, well well before 9pm. Instead now iv got 2x pci express motherboards on the way and a dvd writer, no thanks its no use to me whatsoever now.

And the person who said there was a problem with the system last night, it seemed to be working perfectly fine to me, I was adding items to my cart and as soon as the item sold out it vanished from my cart, the gfx cards stayed there however!

Yep, I ordered dead on 8pm and would have been fine with 1 too - just semed like it was too good to miss - and evidently it was too-good-to-even-exist... So now all I would ask for is that everybody, except the first people who ordered the original cards, to be returned to a level playing field - not some lucky dip extrazaganza. :(

So because you weren't lucky you think everyone should've had nothing?

OcUK didn't have to send ANYONE a card.

The fact they honoured some people with a card at all shows they at least think something of there customers.

People were not ripped off, this was items from clearence stock, at a really small price, anyone who hasn't recieved a card has had a refund, so no loss of money just the inconvenience of having to wait a few days to get it back.

This was due to a computer error, it wasn't done on purpose personally I think they handled the situation very well.

They have lost a lot of money over this, literally hundreds of pounds by giving the people they could cards from stock which was to be sold at full retail price, I personally do not know of any other e-tailer who would do this.

i agree... when competitors make the same mistake, they just refund everyone and blame it on pricing errors..... thanks to gibbo doing his best some of us got upgraded cards which ocuk didnt have to. i think the reason behind only allowing people that ordered one is to stop that 'might' have ordered 2 or more to ebay to make money at the expense of ocuk.

It's all very well saying that Med, but you happened to be the lucky bloke who got an XTX for £93 :D

I'm more inclined to agree with the post below. How is it fair that you got an XTX, yet my order was cancelled. It isn't, but if at the end of the day that's how Gibbo decided to do things - then it's his choice. I'm surprised they cancelled my order tbh, I'd ordered a few extra normal-stock items and I thought they'd complete the order to make profit on the other stuff. Oh well :(

My point stays the same. Everybody who ordered should be treated equally, there should be no discrepencies as the ordering system doesn't seem to correlate time ordered to stock allocation... Hence I believe that either everybody should have got the card they wanted, or similar, or everybody should have walked away with nothing... I cannot see how you can even consider luck to be a part of this! You should not have to hedge your bets when you order a piece of hardware. Either everybody gets what they want, or everybody goes away empty handed. That would be the only fair outcome...

I mean, I ordered an entire system of components from them, yet I wont get half of what I ordered. When, a year and a bit ago, a competitor mispriced their s939 3800+ at £100 I picked one them, for less than the cost of a 3000+... Many people bought them, and everybody got their order in full - so don't go saying that competitors don't do similar. It is also worth noting that many of the competing companies use timed stock allocation and give exact numbers of how many are left, which is a feature I would very much like to see at OCuK...

i very much doubt you would feel the same if your order(s) went through.
