No, Season 2 is confirmed to have the same characters. It will be more about Will and the effect that the upside down has had on him.

I'm in two minds if I want a second season, stuff like this is always best left open with some questions. I really don't want a full explanation of everything. All of the major tropes have been done and I loved the bitter sweet ending.

I would far rather have an anthology series as suggested. Something that draws on other elements of the Carpenter / King / Spielberg era.

hah.. yeah I described it as a cross between Stand by Me, X-files & the Goonies to a collegue this morning. Its great and cannot wait til season 2 :)

a) Winona was awful in it. Overacting most the way through.
b) story was kinda predictable, as was the ending
c) just didn't entertain me in the way I had hoped

6/10 is above average so can't be all bad ;)

I really enjoyed it. I got a real Goonies / Stand by Me / Alien vibe from it, which is not a bad thing.

Yep, same here. Leave that story arc alone now and do something else.

I'd imagine it'll still be good though.
 
Found this very compelling, really enjoyed it and for a show reliant largely on a younger cast, the writing and acting was mostly pretty good.
 
I thought it was a great start good middle and average end.
doesn't need to follow that storyline anymore. It's done. I liked how it has loose ends.

They will milk it and wreck what they achieved.
