It was a closed beta that was held over the weekend. Hopefully there will be an open beta later this year or early nextHow did you get hold of it? Is it on steam?

2nd closed beta has been announced. Seem's very similar to the previous beta, same 8 characters to choose from, only use battle hub etc but there has been bug fixes and other adjustments. Maybe of the best new options is the ability to choose either 60fps or 120fps

Makes sense if they are at beta already and testing netcode. I will pre-order if it pops up on CDKeys for £35 or less, if not will just wait until price drops to around there which it would by the end of the year.
The one I am more excited about is Tekken 8. The graphics on that look awesome!
Recently picked of Tekken 7 definitive edition for £6 quid as I only had the base game and wanted the complete thing but would never pay the silly asking price for dlc. Would have done the same for Street Fighter 5 but they don’t even have a definitive edition that has all dlc. They just have championship edit which is way more than £6 and does not unlock everything. I probably won’t bother buying anything now as once SF6 is out I won’t ever go back to SF5 anyway.

People are speculationg that a demo or beta will be announced at TGA as Tekken 8 popped up briefly with a download option on Xbox Live earlier this week being swiftly disappearing again.

Liking the look of the new characters. Manon is definately going to be popular. Was expecting to see some Gief or Cammy footage but I guess they've go to save something for the next 6 months.Alas not.
Really not a fan of all the dancing stuff, but the stage designs look very good. Look forward to it.

The character and level design looks good but I spent a high percentage of that trailer wondering if it was a mini-game compilation that had a fighting game bit in it....
Street fighter doesn't need to have all this tat tacked on, just make it play like a proper SF!

Move execution felt very similar if not the same as SF5 to me.

Not going to please everyone I guess. They released SFV with that mindset and everyone complained.
All the mini games and running around is from the World Tour mode which is the singleplayer element of game. Look pretty fun and should be worth a play through. Also looks like it is geared towards casuals and will help them learn how to play the game which is a good thing imo

yeah all fair points, I guess as per everyone else I am going from a trailer and nothing more. if the gameplay experience is good it might be better than the impression it personally gives me atm
