Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

i didnt really play ranked in sf4, at least not after i got my achievement. but is there a lot of rage quiters?

there seems to be lots of them in sfv. i had 3 quiters already and i dont even think i played 20 matches in two days yet. the sad part is i cant report them, i dont get points/fight money and i got randomed out by one of the quiters in a rematch and lost some points :(

if this used to be a common thing then i guess something never change.

Yeah street fighter is full of rage quitters. It never really happened before iv though, but then you had to go out of your way to play it on ggpo back then.

Like I said, it's not a problem if you have a brain. The problem is that most people don't, and that sticks which worked natively on sfiv don't on sfv.

(stupid phone auto correct)

I am enjoying Street Fighter 5 and have found Ryu to be well rounded as Kreeeee has said. Although I am starting to enjoy using Chun Li as well.

I am hoping that the update in March does improve things, especially when just sitting and waiting for Ranked matches. It would be better if you could search like in SFIV. Not holding my breath though.

I haven't come across any rage quitters but I am probably not good enough to create rage, lol.

It is strange that SFV supports Xinput and not DirectInput for controllers, my old Xbox 360 fightstick works perfectly.

Are we seriously talking 'lack of brain' of this magnitude?
Sticks for SF4 worked straight out of the box when you plugged them into the USB port without having to remap keys etc. But you are saying that with SF5, that remaping is required. Why is this?

Cav, I managed to play the beta version for about 10 minutes but my fightstick was working fine without any remapping of buttons. I haven't purchased SFV yet but I will do very soon, only thing putting me off is lack of time atm to actually play it!

I thought I'd watch some footage of SFV last night to try get a bit hyped for it. Found a clip, Daigo vs Lupe Fiasco..... wow, I had to stop watching after a few minutes, Daigo was just shocking. I'm hoping it's because the game is still new and no one really knows what they are doing but at this moment in time I can't really appreciate the skill involved in this game because there just didn't seem to be any!?

Anyway, is cd keys still the cheapest place to get this?

That match was just for laughs (well it was a random call out match too) - Madcatz organised it to celebrate the launch of SF5.

ps3ud0

I've found setting up that match request , then just playing survival mode seemed to get me plenty of online matches last night , Couldn't even finish a stage at one point :D

I played it most of yesterday locally with my brother and really began to enjoy it. We have some good games, trying lots of different characters rather than our usual shoto fest. It's so frustratingly slow if you want to change character, even locally, how slow it can be.

Online is totally different. Played for an hour so this afternoon. Won 4 out of 4 ranked with Laura (I gravitate to her and Nash now) - but it takes so long between games. I played all of easy survival with Necalli before I got a game. I had more disconnects than actual games. Also potentially had a quitter when I beat him first round (7 wins - just connection or trying to protect streak?)

PS4 users - what's your connection like?

I'm on 200mb Virgin Media, wired. All ports are open for the PS4. PS4 is in the DMZ. No firewall on. Latest 2ac hub.
