Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Anyone ordered anything off ballicom.co.uk ? They have the skull design tes fightstick for a pretty reasonable price of £130 , wondering how reliable they are though, also need to wait until I have the funds :D

Almost every light attack confirm is 2 hits, and you need decent reactions for them IMO.

Really? It's very easy for me to hit confirm from 2 lights. They've made it was easier in this game compared to past Street Fighters to do it.

lp, lk, DP does more damage and starts up faster, and I find it no more difficult than cr.lp, cr.lp DP.

I really wish I was better at this, I'm up to super bronze at the moment and I play as Ryu and my Ryu play literally consists of jumping HK, standing MP to come in over their crouched block and then crouched low kick... that's literally how I play him I don't know any of his combos or nothing. I play against some Ryus that do some pretty crazy combos, what's the best way to learn these as I don't even have a clue what they are pressing to do it -.-

This game is all about getting the crush counter combo into 580 damage (with Ryu).

You want to be frame trapping into your hk if you can, or hp if they are crouching a lot.

From there you can do your usual CC hk, hk, VT, hk, lk, DP or if you have super CC hk, hk, VT, mp, cr.hp, DP, super

Youtube videos and training mode are your friends
Does anyone do good tutorials on youtube that explain stuff or is it a case of watching and mimicking?

I learn it all myself, occasionally using frame data lists for specifics, but there are a lot of SFV YouTube tutorial series starting up (Air, Crosscounter, Vesperarcade, Floejisan etc) that cover the very basics.

I could never stand his commentary, something about the way he speaks really seems to grate on me.

His vacant look when listening to Ono made me laugh. I'm not sure if that was intentional comedy on the editor's part there :p

OBS doesn't work with SF5, I can't see it in the selected screens I want to capture

Nope it can't capture the window directly. Neither can XSplit.

Work around in XSplit is to capture the whole PC window, then zoom in on the game. Haven't tried to do it in OBS though as I don't use it much.
If you are just Recording have you tried nVidia Shadowplay?

Any decipher this for please?

CC hk? VT?

Crush Counter Hard Kick: Either hitting an opponent in recovery frames of a move like a dragon punch, or during the start-up of less powerful normals such as medium punch or light kick. This puts them in a "crushed" state allowing for a massive follow up combo.

VT: V-Trigger, activated by using hard punch and hard kick together when you have a full V-Gauge meter

Makes me angry that they took him to Capcom Cup, he takes awkward to a new level. Fword is a decent commentator though. I would much rather listen to Ken Bogard ramble on in French than listen to Logan.
