Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Interesting, I find getting a game takes a under around a couple of minutes, sometimes less. However if I put fight request on they seem to appear almost instantly or I might finish one or two stages of survival.

I haven't had a single disconnect. This is on PC but I play mixture of PC and PS4 players.

I am on BT Infinity 76 meg connection on BT Hub 5 with no firewall changes.

Are we seriously talking 'lack of brain' of this magnitude?
Sticks for SF4 worked straight out of the box when you plugged them into the USB port without having to remap keys etc. But you are saying that with SF5, that remaping is required. Why is this?

I'm not on the development team. It's a 30 second fix anyway.

I get countless. Had another go after posting last night. Training mode with fight request on. 3-5 bar connection, any hardware - 5 minutes before first fight. 40002 error. Another 3 or 4 minutes before the next. Connected to a player with a 5 bar connection. Absolutely awful lag.

Turned it off at that point haha.

It's probably been asked a billion times but...does a Cthulhu modded stick work on the PS4 with SFV? :p

Is this really that much better than Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PC and worth pursuing?

Am I missing something or is Ryus super being qcfx2 P a strange change? I'm going back to basics with Ryu and can't even do a simple cLK, cLP xx DP without getting a super come out. Hit confirming two lights is too quick for my old brain I think too.

Ryu's super has always been qcfx2 in every game he's had a super in.

Haven't a lot of the LK/LP combos been binned?

No, almost every character has some form of light, light, special/super combo.

Sorry I mean his Ultra/CA, i.e. what used to be x3 punches. The difference between getting DP or CA is so small it seems like an odd choice to me.

I suppose from c.LK, c.LP I need to return to neutral before inputting the DP motion to not get CA. It just seems so quick to be able to "confirm" it too.

hold down-forward cLK, cLP, down-back, down-forward + punch button of choice. if you're getting super too much is happening with your directional inputs.

His Ultra in SF4 was 3P but it was a different move. (Metsu Hadoken)
Shinkuu was his Super Art 1 in SF3, Super SF4 and now his CA in 5 which is a single punch.

Ultras aren't in this game, the Critical Arts are Super moves like in every other Street Fighter game since turbo.

In SFIV if you build up your full super gauge (the 4 blue/white bars) you can perform your super by doing qcfx2+p. This is the same as in SFV except you only have 3 bars to fill.

The Ultra meter from SFIV (the one that build when you're getting owned) has been removed completely from this game, replaced by the V-System.

Ryu's light hit confirm combo is lp, lk, hp.dp.

Almost every light attack confirm is 2 hits, and you need decent reactions for them IMO.

Ryu's cr.LK, cr.LP, DP is one of the easier ones (probably because of the dp shortcut).

If it's someting you want to practice, go to training mode, set Blocking to random. Do the confirm, and if it hits, cancel into the special.

Played for a few hours last night, dear God I was awful.

From super bronze I got relegated to bronze then nearly out of the bronze league. Then I got into a win streak, back up to super bronze then down and up for the rest of the night. Couldn't hit any combos last night.

Really struggling to open up players who block a lot.

Also, Nash and Bison seem totally op compared to Ken. I pretty much know I'm going to lose if I come up against them.

I really wish I was better at this, I'm up to super bronze at the moment and I play as Ryu and my Ryu play literally consists of jumping HK, standing MP to come in over their crouched block and then crouched low kick... that's literally how I play him I don't know any of his combos or nothing. I play against some Ryus that do some pretty crazy combos, what's the best way to learn these as I don't even have a clue what they are pressing to do it -.-

Youtube videos and training mode are your friends
