I did indeed mean appeal. I would think that he would be advised by the national manager as to whether it might allow him to play any more part in the WC.

And to all the people saying Liverpool shouldn't be punished, it was your responsibility to curb his cravings for man flesh and you failed!

Well the original way of this was that he can get a max 2 year ban and can still play in the WC until the appeal has been sorted.

Fifa's words not mine. seems they have moved the goal posts around again and just making it up as they go along

According to people above he won't be allowed to play any of the games in the WC regardless of appeal.

Its not really our responsibility what he does for Uruguay is it?

No, this was speculation from people not FIFA's official word on it.

I was joking, I assumed you would realise that but I guess this thread is full of so much silliness that mine slipped the net.

I don't see how its Uraguays responsibility anymore than it is Liverpools. You punish the player not the club. It just so happens you can't do one without the other happening.

Yeah they are kind of making it up as they go along but they did state when delivering judgment that effectively his WC is over even if he appeals.

Oh, I wouldn't put it past him or Uruguay, it seems clear to me he very much cares playing for his country over anything else.

Its Uruguay's responsibility because he was playing for them

I think respect is out of the window when you look at the insane amount of money clubs get for being in the EPL and taking part in the CL. No sane club owner in today's environment would consider offloading their golden goose on the notion of respect...............

Alternatively if the Premier League had any respect for the FA or England they'd insist on max 2 foreign players fielded per team, but there is about as much chnace of that happening as there is of LFC sacking Suarez..........

So if he ran onto the pitch and head butted the ref whiule playing for Uruguay he should still be eligible for Liverpool because it's not your responsibility. It's clubs like Liverpool that help cause this, sticking up for players in the wrong and constantly making them feel as though they can do no wrong and everything get's brushed away because they are worth a fortune.

Basically so long as they do the business on the pitch, who cares if they are a recist cannible.
