It doesn't really matter if you or I think he's a racist or not (although he plainly is, and a transphobe to boot), his employer does and he got sacked for it. You can foam at the mouth about it as much as you like....no-one's listening.

I'm just at the stage of going to the lost river but have not found the shield mod yet for my cyclops, will I need it? had a venture down in the seamoth till i got to the sunken alien base that the had the warper corpse in it and not sure i can get to that point with out being attacked in the cyclops.

You'll be fine without the shield, providing you do have silent running. You will be attacked at some stage or another so prepare to hit silent running and slam your foot down when it does happen - don't stick around. You will likely go lower than 900m at some point so bring the prawn rather than the Seamoth (it is useless for deep sea diving) and ensure your cyclops has a lot of lockers and a spare set of Cells. There is a very good spot down there to setup a nice base so consider it later on as you'll likely need to do so.

Right, that's my PC re-fitted with a new cooling loop. Time to dive into the game!
 
Yeah i only took the seamoth to do some exploring, I've marked the entrance with a beacon now will go back and get the prawn, already loaded up the cyclops with everything i will need to setup a decent base and have loads of power cells in a locker ready.
 
I'm on my second playthrough, this time setting myself the aim of building a base which allows me to walk from the top to the bottom, so far I'm down to 480m and burning through titanium like crazy :)

Wow awesome :D I need to get the depth upgrades for my Seamoth - It still starts cracking up when it goes beyond 200m :(

Finally got the Modification Station yesterday though - So have a much better o2 tank and better fins :D
 
Just had fives minutes or so in VR with Subnautica - All I can say is I really hope they work on the VR side of it, as it has a lot of potential. Seeing some of the underwater sites is incredible, but it was a little buggy and the UI was not easy to use.
 
Well I'm in search of nickel, found some earlier but now cant locate the cave it was in. Find it almost impossible to navigate in this, theres loads of cool places ive wanted to come back later with the prawn suit to explore and now cant find any of them :(
 
Relatively new to the game, just at the point where the
Sunbeam comes
but im having some real issues finding Silver and Gold. I really need to get this habitat tool made so I can start getting a base sorted, juggling inventory is proving difficult now, Ive so many floating waterproof containers around mt lifepod haha.

Great game though.
