Subnautica

You really need to get a base built, even just a basic tube so you can fit a lot of containers inside for storage. You can also get a room which scans for the silver/gold to make it really easy to find.

yep really finding my way now. Got my base sorted, up on some lovely foundations, everything moved in from my lifepod, storage galore :)

Absolutely loving this game.

The game shifts up a gear as you upgrade through the core vehicles. Moving to a cyclops is a game changer and a half! Build ALL the lockers!

Decided to start my quest for Quartz by moving away from my base at the top of the lost river entrance. Took my Cyclops/Prawn slowly towards the nearby dunes and oh my!

3 Time capsules within viewing distance of each other amongst a lot of quartz chunks.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1296393495 - This chap dropped me a whole load of Seamoth upgrades, some kyanite and I think 2x Ion cells whilst I netted some ion batteries and tools from the other two. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1296360870

All in all a great night of gathering stuffs.

YES - got the cyclops :) It's mahoosive I was expecting it to fit in the moonpool ! Get the feeling I'm gonna need the powercell charger.

getting a strong feeling I'm only scratching the surface of this so far.

Hahaha I also thought a Cyclops would fit in a Moonpool at first - It is huuuuge!!!

I still haven’t really learnt how to drive it properly - I managed to beach it somehow in the shallow bits near the Lifepod and had to reload a save - 30 mins wasted :p

I beached my Seamoth in the shallows while dolphin diving on the way back to my base.

Had to use the prawn suit to nudge it back into the water.

Maybe you could have done the same to your Cyclops?

I tried ramming the Seamoth into the Cyclops and it didn’t budge at all :p

I don’t have a Prawn Suit yet :p

I've got a storage crisis. Since I've been trawling the ocean for ALL the resources, the Cyclops is rammed full of those small lockers and both my bases are packed with nothing but lockers full of stuff. The time capsule loot from last night has given me thoughts about building more than one cyclops...

One tip - if you're short for Copper and have a Prawn that has a drill arm attachment, then hit the Mushroom forests. I've drilled about 5-6 copper chunks over there and I'm sure there's a lot more.

Tried the keel camera so you can easily swivel forwards or backwards when manoervering.

I've just absolutely dumped in my pants. Went out to the extreme deep southwest of the Aurora to find lifepod 7 with just the Seaglide stupidly and absolutely jumped out of my skin diving to over 200m in the deep deep blue. When out of the blue
some sort of massive glowing snake type abyss creature comes swimming right at me with its big mouth open

Amazing game. Looking down in the deep really unsettles me, no game has ever made me feel that way. I'm genuinely frightened to dive that deep with the Seaglide, I really need to get this Seamoth made.
