Subnautica

I met my first Reaper last night - I can't imagine what it would be like in VR :p  :p

Speaking of which - I was in my Seamoth and it grabbed it and started pulling me down, so I just got out and swam away as far as I could :p

What happens if I stayed in there? Would it kill me eventually?

Anyone playing this in VR? Done the game on a normal monitor, wondering how it is in VR
I found there was too many annoying things with the UI to make it fun. It should hopefully be a simple change and then it'd be awesome sauce.
Even with the problems it still looks great to swim about the giant kelp forests or into caves :)

Last night I spent an hour or so upgrading my base - I looked everywhere to find a decent spot, but ultimately stayed where I am (just under my lifepod).

Got myself a slick new moonpool (also upgraded my Seamoth with some storage, and a sweet new paint job :p) and Scanner Room (Which I'm still trying to figure out...).

I need to find some more diamond - Only found one unit, and I can't remember where I found it :p Still haven't made a Laser Cutter yet :/

Diamonds are in the Shale rock nodes, little bit deeper, sort of around the 150-200m depth.

For the scanner room, make sure you build 2 or 3 scanner range upgrades and ABSOLUTELY make the HUD chip which shows the scanned locations on your hud as you travel about. Makes finding stuff SO much easier.

VR is great if you're just looking around and not playing with much beyond exploring planned.
The UI is bad in VR so playing as you normally would isn't great but manageable if you can put up with that.

The other night I was all lined up to by Final Fantasy 12 on PC (Just been released on Steam) then saw this pop up on the main page. I had a look and watched the trailer and wanted to play!

I'm around 5 hours in and really enjoying it. Base is quite small at the moment, I'm playing on survival which I thought would be a nightmare, but actually adds a fair bit.

Just got 900m upgrade for seamoth last night (straight from 300m as double upgrade) so thought I’d go exploring and ended up having a tour through the lost river! Queue some spooky moments and a run in with 2 x ghost leviathans; I escaped! Think the perimeter defence pulse thing helped. I’ve not been to aurora yet or north island so still a long way to go before I need to head there properly I’d imagine!

Well that's a pain, i have gone through the game without wanting or needing the cyclops and now i have to build it just for that.:(

I was lucky, I needed the Cyclops to get down to the lava castle , kyanite and the primary containment facility, so already had it when it came time for the shield generator

With the absolutely silly amounts of resources I have at my disposal after spending 2 days or so just trawling the map to build a big base above the Lost River entrance, I've so far come up with this. Got nearby reapers pestering me every so often but its a nice spot!
