Summer Transfer Thread 2018

Lots of sources saying we are getting very close to agreeing a deal for Sampdorias Lucas Torreira. Some sources saying it’s already agreed. Will be absolutely stoked at this signing. He’s a great little player and just the type of terrier like combative DM we have needed for a long time. Skilful player too though, should fit right in. A bit like Verratti as a player.

Ornstein says we're in talks to sign him and he's very reliable, he's also said Sokratis will be announced in July and we're after a keeper too. Not sure what kind of calibre keeper we're targeting given the rumoured lack of funds but I'm really liking the direction we're heading in.

Top 4 race next season is going to be mental.

I’m excited too. Can see me going to a lot of games next season.
 
I can’t believe that spurs want to sell Dembele. He is old and freaky but when he plays he is vital to the team and has the ability to dominate top class opposition. Picking up 30m for him is so short sighted when we could use him as a squad player.

What will be interesting is to see just how much Utd can get for him. Given the state of the market you'd have to assume that Utd would be looking for £50m+ but it's really hard to see who's paying that for him. There's only a handful of clubs that can afford that sort of fee and I'm struggling to think of any that would want him at that sort of price.
 
I'd take him for anything up to £40 million in a heart beat. £50 million's pushing it for a player that's not a regular at his club but there's no doubting he's a fantastic talent, he's just been ruined by appalling management.
 
Only English teams who can afford him are Chelsea, Liverpool and City. Spurs could only really afford £50m in a player swap deal imo.

Chelsea are being careful atm with the Abramovich situation and Liverpool and City do not need him, both are well stocked in his position. Could see Spurs taking him but it depends if they can sort the finances out.

I can see him going abroad myself. Maybe United could try to include him in a deal for Griezmann. Wouldn’t have minded him at Arsenal, but the budget doesn’t seem to be there and it looks like we’ve already wrapped up £50m worth of signings. Don’t know how much of an upgrade he’d actually be over our forwards anyway.
 
Most likely outcome to me seems as part of a deal for another player, maybe to Juve. We'll see I guess, shouldn't be selling him but nothing surprises me about this club any more.
