Read that there’s rumours of Boateng being touted to us at £50 million. I don’t think I’d pay 50p after his World Cup display. I seem to recall him being decidedly awful.

It's not you'll never walk alone. It's I'll never walk alone, he has come out since cause Liverpool gave him stick saying its cause he turned us down twice.

Looking very much like Karius will off before the window closes. Alisson has been given the 'provisional' shirt number 13 for todays friendly - you can only assume that he's not been given a number because he's waiting for the number 1 shirt.

Thought I read somewhere that Allison had specifically not asked for the number 1 shirt to be respectful to Karius.

But if Karius leaves he’ll get it as I doubt they’ll retire the number due to Karius’ legendary status

I'm not sure he would want it, the number 1 shirt seems to be a cursed item, look at recent historys past wearers of the number 1. Goalkeeping heroes like Diego Cavilieri, Sander Westervald, Calamity James and of course Karius. Might be best to avoid that number

There were some stories coming out of Brazil that that was the case but presumably that was based on Karius staying. The fact that he's only been given a provisional shirt number today would suggest that at the very least it's possible Karius is leaving and he's waiting for the number 1 shirt.

Seems we want one of Maguire/Alderweireld or Mina, and then maybe Perisic/Willian.

Not overly excited by any of them, though I do like Perisic. When Mina was playing against England for Colombia I thought he looked like a Jose Mourinho defender, happy to play dirty and he's big and quick, but his decision making is potentially poor.

Even in the current market, £80m seems crazy for Maguire, forgetting England he's been OK for Leicester but nothing that special. Alderweireld is usually very good though.

Think we're going to struggle unless Sanchez, Lukaku and Pogba are at their very best all season.

Reports coming out of Spain that Mina's off to Everton which would suggest that Utd are confident of getting one of Maguire or Alderweireld. I don't believe Utd would pay anything close to £80m on Maguire, it's surely just a ploy to force Levy's hand. I wouldn't bet against some sort of Alderweireld/Martial swap on deadline day.

Looks more like panic buy time for Mourinho, must get one of them no matter the costs.
