Don't believe that. I don't think Spurs will be in for him after signing Crouch, and I don't think we would be after another striker. We have plenty.

Only recently there was a small article in the Liverpool Echo about the Alonso/Madrid transfer saga. Madrid started by saying that Alonso is not worth £30m+ and they claimed that Liverpool are going about this transfer all wrong and dont know what we're doing (basically because we're saying "no".)
Then to end it they say Alonso is the best player in the world at doing what he does and that there is basically no other player of his standard in the world... so if he's that rare and talented whats the big problem with £30m when you've recently been blowing hundreds of millions all over the place? They're absolute idiots and I can understand Torres' hatred of them.
This is why I hate George Burley.....
He got the SPL put back a week before the Norway game incase players pick up injuries however some of the Norwegian players will be well into their seasons and be match sharp. I think Fergie will do what Fergie always does and play him if he wants and I for one hope he does.

Aye, not too fussed about Kolo going, only had a year left on his contract and he hasn't been the same player he used to be for at least a year or two. I'm all for a complete re-fit of the defence as something clearly needed to be done.
Watching the pre-season games I'm extremely enthused by the attack, Eduardo is just pure class, he knows exactly what to do to score goals, I just hope he is given a starting spot next year.
At least Wenger has a lot of money free now to target some top players that could transform the Arsenal of last season into a more competitive force. I'm almost certain that he's going to buy 1 or 2 important players now, pretty exciting!
What? Getting rid of the non-performers for ridiculously good money? I'd say that Arsene is just conducting a couple of amazing business transfers personally, £40m for Adebayor and Toure after the seasons they had? Bet he's laughing all the way to the bank ..

just heard it now that hes flying back for his medical...i just hope Wenger has someone in mind to take over from Kolo...its a shame Arsenal have decided not to keep him as i would have loved to see him and Yaya play together as Yaya has only signed a 1 yr contract with Barca.Seems like money is ruling a lot of these players heads at the moment...i just hope to god Man city end up relegated...that will teach them a harsh lesson
.Providing Wenger brings in some class to replace Kolo then i won't be too fussed but is that going to happen? We need someone who can jump straight in as the Verminator will need some time to adjust. Our defence did look decidedly dodgy last year so can't complain that he's mixing it up a bit. Just hope it doesn't backfire.
Lets say we had a £0 transfer budget, even taking in the 10-12 for the Verminator that should still leave us at least 28 mil spare. Surely Wenger is going to splash the cash now??!
