Man.U. will not be spending any more money on anyone this season, thats facht as spoken by Fergie so it must be true.
Oh, apart from that lad they signed from Norway a couple of weeks ago who they bought so no-one else could.

Deco can **** off.
Chelsea have never been linked with VDV, why would we?

I'm sure the Sunday paper writers don't read anything that's written the rest of the week.

If he goes to Man City, hes stupid. That would pretty much end his career IMO

Indeed, he would really struggle to on the bench never mind the starting 11. I'm really hoping we can keep hold of him.

If (when ;)) we get promoted this season fingers crossed we can keep hold of Beckford as well.

haha if you think 'arry can keep a sqaud like that 'appy you are banjoed

Man United Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal dont have a squad that big, feel sorry for Keane to be place above Defoe and Crouch, zero skill they just latch on to balls and hit and hope.

If they're not happy, they know where the door is.

Considering 3 of the centre backs are sick notes i think you have some issues still!

King is the only one there with any issues.

Arseblog are reporting that Senderos to Everton is a done deal, I look forward to seeing more Silvestre.

After selling toure this is crazy.

He's better than Djourou imo. So we've sold toure, adebayor and senderos to our main top4 rivals :/

Don't know about vermaelen but I'd say with him there Senderos should be our 3rd choice cb.

:/

You don't think there's a question mark over Woodgate's fitness?

Dawson is rubbish, King and Woodgate are always injured...

Wrong. From the stats Chong Warrior posted earlier in the thread ...

2006-07
Prem Apps = 30
Total Apps = 36

2007-08
Prem Apps = 28
Total Apps = 33

2009-09
Prem Apps = 34
Total Apps = 44

That's the last 3 seasons, I think that's a decent return for any footballer?

80 appearances? LOL! Is that that expected average for every teams first choice CB's then?

EDIT - Just had a quick look and over the same period Woodgate has made 7 more Prem apps than John Terry, the same as Rio Ferdinand.

Nothing wrong with that return at all.

Kings ability to remain unfit, and unable to play more then a couple of games consecutively are what need addressing.

I think if King is only used in Premiership games (or only cup games?) then he's ok. He played 31 games for Spurs last season but it's when he tries to play midweek games after playing the weekend the problems start.

Woodgate isn't a worry anymore in my eyes, people always seem to remember the bad things.

Dawson seems to keep picking up niggly injuries, not sure if that's bad luck, trying too hard when he does get a chance or just that little lack of fitness from not being first choice... combo of all 3 maybe.

Corluka worries me at CB because of his serious lack of pace but he's a decent 4th choice CB.

Chimbonda shouldn't even be considered for this position, he's woefull.... absolutely woefull. 3rd choice RB and nothing more.

Huddlestone is one I'd like Harry to really turn his attention to, he could be awesome for us at CB. Atm he's just in limbo at WHL and he's not mobile enough to command CM.

:/

Dawson is far from rubbish and Woodgate is far from always injured.

Please don't tell someone who watches every Spurs game what their players are like.

according to bbc gossip column, Ferguson wants Villa, Silva and Aguero.

That's from news of the world, the people, and the sunday express though.

But I've noticed sometimes, ferguson has little clue as to which players to buy, he waits until other teams want players and then swoops in at the last minute.

Ronaldo was going to go to Liverpool, but he asked for £1m in wages, and that was too much for a teenager, so Liverpool said no. Vidic was linked with liverpool, as are silva and villa. for a short while owen was linked with a move back

He played there against Hull and although looked a little awkward playing out of position, did a good job. Just needs to keep working on it and develop a better sense of positioning.

Actually the United players asked Fergie to look at Ronaldo after we played a friendly against them. I don't remember Vidic being linked with Liverpool at all. Silva and Villa have been linked with numerous clubs this past few years, and Owen has been linked with many people as well.

I think Huddlestone is probably the slowest player in the premier league.
Yeah but have you seen the size of him? Players have an extra 5 metre's to run around him :D

Seriously though if Huddlestone learns to use his size and strength properly aswell as develop other defensive skills he could be a very good CB. His passing would be a big bonus in this positon too.
