Sorry missed the :p : I'm sure someone like Steve Bruce would pay money for him, but would hate to have him at Spurs.

Evans was superb when he was at Sunderland on loan..he isnt a bad player, but I do think united have higher standards..so he may be an average premier league defender who would do fine at most clubs..but average isnt enough at the bigger teams

i would welcome him back and Sunderland..sometimes players need a change to get their game back on track.

yes he was great, just lost his way a little over the last 2 seasons. injury played its part, plus chris smalling doing well.

the year UTD got the record for amount of games without conseeding he played very well.

If rumour is true that Spurs have to sell first before they buy then it could suit them but player choice would be questionble

( Berba always did well for them, but would they want him back is a harder one to answer for definite. Also think Evans is probably not quite at Spurs level either more the 8th position and lower in EPL. Probably worth more than Gibson though imo)

Too random to be beleivable imo

He'd do well at Spurs then is what you're saying :D

Smalling is superb, absolute awesome defender. So glad we pinched him when Arsenal were in for him too, he is exactly what Arsenal need right now.

Evans is very much a confidence player, he had one bad game and then was shaky. He is obviously behind Rio, Vidic, Smalling and Jones now but he can play at LB too so he may spend some time there now as cover for Evra.

I'd take Modric over Nasri personally.

Saying that, Nasri could be available on a free unless Arsenal agree to a lower fee.

Modric will suit us 10x better than Nasri. Modric knows how to play in the center of midfield with one other partner. He knows his defensive duties and still engages in dribbling and cutting through defenses. He is an awesome player, but we will not sign him due to the fact that -

1. Tottenham do not want to sell, they do not need the money and Modric is under contract for another 6 years!

2. Modric wants to stay in London.

Nasri is a good player but I see him more as a attacking midfielder, he likes to dribble and storm up front and with a 4-4-2 this could leave us exposed. Limiting him so that he stays back is an idea but look at Anderson, it did not really work with him. We signed Anderson as a AMC but turned him into something completely different.

With this being said, I would still welcome Nasri, for £20M you will be hard pressed to find another player with his quality and experience in the PL for that price.

Is he really that good? He certainly looked distinctly average for the U21's and i seem to remember him getting some bad reviews during the season.

?

he was comfortably our best player in the u21s and was very good cover considering who's he's replacing and the standard expected at United...
