1357: Suggestions Lille might now be willing to let prized midfielder Eden Hazard leave following Joe Cole's arrival have been rubbished by the French champions. Arsenal have been interested in Belgium international Hazard but BBC Sport's David Ornstein says Lille have not received any bids and insist the 20-year-old is going nowhere.

Palacios is off to Stoke, and Parker will then join Spurs.

Its a bit worrying, and its apparently 10mil not 8, and a 80k wage basically. I think Cahill is a better bet seeing as he's proven in the EPL, Mertersacker could be good, he might not. Its not like the german league has no pacey players either but them his team isn't doing great at the moment are they?


Who knows, could be great, could be crap, realistically I think thats why its being said Wenger is after someone else, Mertesacker, despite being a German international, is still a pretty huge risk. Samba on 15mil is mental, Samba at 5-8mil isn't a bad option at all, he's a beast, a leader, experienced and only 27, I wouldn't expect he's on crazy wages right now like Cahill so expect both could join for 50-60k a week to start with. Cahill seemingly has Spurs going after him aswell which will just make it harder to get a good price.

I would assume based on last year and Crouch, Defoe being crap and Crouch being rumoured to leave all summer he hoped by now Crouch would be gone and he would have started every game....... seeing that not happen again would probably be when he decides he definately wants to go.

Don't know why so many people seem to think the Hazard thing might happen if they bring someone in, they sold Gervinho to us and we nicked his replacement, so they've got someone else in. They'd be buying a SECOND big name to replace Hazard if there was a hint he was leaving.

Also it would seem Lille fans are so angry over us nicking Park off them, that they are petitioning to call off the friendly with Arsenal..... I think they have a new stadium opening next season and we were supposed to play them in the opening game...... I think their fans aren't happy and their board won't be particularly interested in making the Hazard deal happen with us and angering their fans.

I'd love it (as I'm sure would most people) but I can't see it happening for some reason. He was in Holland this morning at the gym though at least, this was confirmed by a guy who plays Water Polo for the Holland Olympic team (or something).
 
Do you chaps fancy starting a rumours website next year for the transfer window. Would be a lot of fun and I would wager that we could come up with more entertaining ******** than ssn and mirror sports do.
