Are there any stories actually linking him to Liverpool yet, or just general thinking, harry wanted to buy Jones off them didn't he a while ago, I can see Redknapp wanting to get him in while selling Crouch?

I really don't get how Spurs can run around offering 30-40mil in Jan, yet didn't get anyone in upfront basically the first weeks of the transfer window, its baffling to say the least.

Also Lansbury is apparently about to sign on loan to West Ham for a year? I'm still a bit meh with Wenger on these types of players, Pennant, Bentley, Lansbury, they seem to get to 20-21 with barely a game in the first team, doing pretty much alright first team elsewhere, but we never give them a shot. They are the Gibson's/O'shea/Brown's of Arsenal that we should really have had long term as backup to first team....... but we really never even give them a chance. Fergie plays those guys, and other youngsters, even if they suck just to see if they can or can't cut it. I can just see Lansbury doing another year on loan, never getting a real outing in the prem league and then being sold for next to nothing after spending a lot on his wages for years.
