If Chelsea get Meireles then they start to look really good again.

I cant see liverpool selling him to them unless its stupid money. they are probably a bit closer to each this year than they were last year, and may be fighting with them for a CL spot. would seem silly on LFCs part

So far then we have signed:
  • Park
  • Benayoun
  • Santos
  • Mertesacker

I'm pretty pleased in all honesty, yes we could have done with a few more players and in an ideal world we'd have signed a top class defensive midfielder but our transfer business was left so late we've had to take what we can get. That said I think all of those players add huge amounts of experience to the squad and at least we are in a better position now than we were yesterday.

Still hoping for a swap with Sturridge, I'd bite Chelsea's arm off!

Everton have no money. I can imagine they have to sell to please the bank.

Yeah I know that.

We taken out our yearly loan at the start of the month to sort out cash flow, so paying interest to banks isn't a problem right now.

The way things are being run we don't need to sell players, we nearly break even every year, made a loss of only a couple of million last year. We don't need to sell big players to appease the banks as such, we need to sell players to buy players. That's what BK was talking about, saying they can't extend overdrafts or anything to get money to buy players that way. But this money will go to the banks and sadly Moyes will only see a few million of it, probably for Fellaini's new contract, if he wants one. And some loan signings in January.

And lol at 5Live they are so so behind on everything going on.

Dunno about that. He's a very good player and better than all the midfielders Liverpool have brought in this season but Chelsea appear to have some pretty big problems at the moment, so much so I'm not sure even Modric would have made that much difference to them

Agreed. Its a shame we met Liverpool and Man Utd so early in the season, although those defeats meant we had to buy so every cloud has a silver lining.

Don't blame him, been treated like dirt just like Aquilani was. Losing him and Aquilani would be a joke considering the players we've bought. Massive downgrade in quality.

How so only thing he hasn't had is this supposed wage increase that roy etc promised? Every other way he has been treated fine by KK
