15m for Carroll is a fair price imo considering his age and the inflation for him being English. West Ham themselves have probably signed worst strikers for not much less. Biggest question mark is over his fitness but West Ham are getting him young enough to view for the long term. Both clubs should be more than satisfied
 
It appears that the 'transfer commitee' we've put in place recently is working well. Don't worry though, we're bound to have the usual summer **** up soon, can't have Newcastle steal all the glory can we :p

You could try reading up on him or being slightly informed, he's both one of the best strikers around and is in great form and has had a great season.

19 starts in the league, 16 goals, 5 assists from only 56 shots, thats a goal every 3.5 shots, thats better than Cavani. last year he got 9 goals in 11 games for Argentina in 26 shots, this year he's on 7 goals in 10 appearances in 24 shots.

There are VERY few strikers that come close to his goals/shots ratio, the only bad thing that happened to him is Mourinho randomly prefering Benzema to start games. his main issue was being injured for half of Mourinho's first season at which point Benzema become his default starting striker. Higuains only "poor" season was that season half injured where in 16 games he still got 10 goals and 6 assists in the league.

Benzema has been better in the champs league than Higuain of late, but thats more to do with how Mourinho uses both players, Higuain tends to do be better at closing down and delivering the ball from wide. Not always the case but they usually bring on Benzema for a attack through the middle while with Higuain they tend to play deeper and let Ronaldo get forward on the break more with Higuain dropping in to a wide role. I don't think Higuain will have any problems in the future in the champs league.

However I just don't really see us getting him, maybe we will, maybe we'll actually go big on wages but I see that in general transfer rumours are 99% bull, and its most likely agent talk to pump up wage offers elsewhere. I'd be very happy if we got him, he's a quality finisher, and guys like him often get shafted at a team like Real because of one injury and being pushed out of a starting spot and Real wanting to make a big name purchase. Sometimes you get a Higuain, or VDV, or Robben, because the club has other things on their mind.

As always I get worried about Wenger, Higuain can cross pretty well.... please for the love of god if we sign him, don't play him on the wing just because he could be okay there. Buy a freaking striker, play him as a freaking striker, and stop dropping him(outside of protecting him) because you think Gervinho is great.
 
Regarding Higuain, seems like Arsenal have upped the offer to £22mill according to the Daily Fail:p...hopefully this isnt just a false hope and we get him in the end. Think he could become a very good player for us if Wenger manages him correctly, also hes 25 so is still young. Would love him to become our next Henry type of player, scoring plenty of goals and assists...think him and Carzola would link up really nicely. Also we are looking at a Spanish U21 player Asier Illarramendi as well.

Only thing that worries me from this article is that it looks like Sagna will be sticking round :(:(.
