Accompanied with a roll eyes too for daring to question the so called confirmation. I have read elsewhere that nothing is happening in Spain until they have a new manager. God knows what is true but I'm sure something will go wrong as it's a transfer I'm really excited about for a change.

So how many of Liverpool's signings are gonna be in the first team next season? They've signed what 4 players more or less? Like Baz said you dont pay 11m for a keeper and have him on the bench so presumably he'll be in goal, Toure will no doubt be a bit part but what about these two lads from Spain?

Yep seems to have gone quiet a bit on the Higuain front, i dont know why Real are waiting to get a new manager in..last i heard they sanctioned the deal. Now im hearing that Arsenal have sent a delegation to Spain to tie up the deal, Higuain has agreed to personal terms...one min its £130k a week and now i read its £100k a week with bonuses or something. Then ive also read that Juve are still creeping around but they dont want to spend more than £20mill in transfer fee. Arsenal are now offering £20mill when i thought they offered £25mill as Real want.

Its all too confusing for my poor brain:(...i just wish Arsenal or Real would just finalise the deal unless Higuain is having second thoughts...too many rumours, not enough substance:p

I think the confederations cup is severely slowing down the transfer market at the moment and so we've not been seeing quite the same level of movement as I think most of us have expected.

The continued speculation of Spurs with Paulinho is promising though but I can't help echoing the feelings of my fellows fans in that we need to sort this striker situation out asap.

Latest on David Villa is that apparently he would consider a move to Fiorentina as well. Could be just his agent trying to rally up some hype and hopefully increase the fees.

Yeh, plenty of players on confed cup duty and even WC Qualifying duty as well of course being on holiday.

Next few weeks I think it will ramp up because pre-season isn't that far away and it is always better to sign players before you start pre-season!

Its like watching the kettle, it always takes longer to boil. The thing is we haven't had a good cup of tea in years lol

I'm getting blue balls whilst waiting.

In all seriousness, if we get him I'll be so ******* happy with the creativity we'll have. I'd still like to bring in an enforcer for the middle though.

i have had these blueballs ready to enjoy while i celebrate some united signings

I don't think either have been signed with the idea that they'll be starting on a regular basis. Assuming there's something in the Mkhitaryan link and we do get him, you've got to think that as things stand he, Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez would be our front 4.

Aspas looks like being signed as versatile cover for the entire front 3/4 and Alberto with an eye on the future.
