Not really sure I agree with you Tunney. Put it like this, without Suarez Liverpool would have been lucky to be a top 10 team these past few seasons, never mind top 8.
As for the Carroll saga, I can only assume it was Comolli who recommended a move for him and help to negotiate it. But ultimately it's down to the owners to stump up the money and if they were happy with the £35m or whatever it was, more fool them.
Henderson and Downing are pretty average too I admit, but without looking behind the scenes its hard to really point the finger at Comolli for all the transfer decisions. At the end of the day, Spurs got a few duds from him. But he also brought in the likes of Bale, Modric and Berbatov.
I'd be more inclined to point the finger at the owners and the appointments of the likes of Woy, King Kenny and now Rodgers.
