So Real are late paying some of the Modric money and Levy is supposed to believe they will be able to cough up the money required for a transfer several times of magnitude bigger? There's a reason banks don't loan to people with poor credit......

Who said they're late paying?

Well...

Nope. They have said they would pay x amount on the phone initially but haven't come back with proof of funds or even a written offer.

Same old same old from the press though, they've got nothing but conjecture to work with but still come out with ten different stories a day. The Soldado interview being a prime example. He said he goes we can hang onto Bale. One story coming out of that was that bale was likely staying, another was that he was definitely off - using the same quote

The modric money that is outstanding is also a few months overdue I understand so I can see why we don't want to get into another situation like that especially with a much larger sum being talked about

Our resident Tottenham Hotspur Receptionist, of course!

Adel Taarabt has just moved to 1/10 to move to Fulham on SkyBet. Could be a very good signing for Fulham, loan or permanent. If he stays motivated - could be the most languid attack with Berbatov and Taarabt though!

Rumours Jol is also after Remy too.

Nice to see Comolli trolling Liverpool fans:

"Luis is extremely ambitious and with all due respect to Liverpool, they're a top eight side, not top four like Arsenal."

With all due respect, you're one of the reasons why Liverpool are a top eight side, not top four!

Not really sure I agree with you Tunney. Put it like this, without Suarez Liverpool would have been lucky to be a top 10 team these past few seasons, never mind top 8.

As for the Carroll saga, I can only assume it was Comolli who recommended a move for him and help to negotiate it. But ultimately it's down to the owners to stump up the money and if they were happy with the £35m or whatever it was, more fool them.

Henderson and Downing are pretty average too I admit, but without looking behind the scenes its hard to really point the finger at Comolli for all the transfer decisions. At the end of the day, Spurs got a few duds from him. But he also brought in the likes of Bale, Modric and Berbatov.

I'd be more inclined to point the finger at the owners and the appointments of the likes of Woy, King Kenny and now Rodgers.

I don't believe I said it only relates to Liverpool....

I think RvP was difference between United finishing 11 points ahead of City and I think Bale was the difference between Spurs sitting only a couple of points outside the top 4.

You cannot deny that the quality of these players is hugely influential on the success of their respective teams.

Tbh Liverpool look like they have bought decently, It took the players a while to adapt to Rogers system, last season they looked pretty good towards the end of it. I think they will challenge for top 4 but my money will be on Tottenham for 4th spot, worry for them if they lose Bale though.
