Only £10m more than Lukaku was worth? You've got to be kidding.Coutinho must be laughing his backside off, 10m or so about to be moved on to him in a nice 100m move.
Any why would Liverpool accept that?no way coutinho will go for £100m be about what lukaku was
I think we'll end up taking our chances if Barca don't offer an absurd amount. They've made an offer already by all accounts and we've not seen the tiniest bit of discontent from Coutinho so far.because it will now get into coutinho's head (or his agents) and he'll want to move. no player on the planet is going to turn down barca and liverpool will have to opt for a deal more favourable to them, or be left with a player whose head isn't in it with them any more. be a good test of klopps calibre this.
Because I think he's genuinely happy at Liverpool (even if he'd like to join Barca), it would be hugely out of character and I can't see it doing much to change Liverpool's stance. With a world cup coming no player is going to sulk for a season and Klopp/Liverpool have shown that they have no problem sending a senior player to the reserves if they don't show the right attitude.why?
In what way would it be used? Surely being the main man at Liverpool is better for his world cup hopes than joining Barca, where he could end up as a bit part player.the world cup will be used by his agent to fatten the idea to him imo
He wouldn't be signed as a bit part player but he wouldn't be a star of the side like Messi and Suarez and if things weren't going well he'd be expendable. He wouldn't be a bit part player, he would definitely start but as you said in an earlier post, i can see Barca buying Dybala and another player for the money that Coutinho would cost.
how long's he going to want to be the main man at liverpool? he has no loyalty to the club historically. the world cup will just be another bargaining chip for his agent, along with the champions league competitiveness he'd get at barca, the players, the history, the climate, the way they play, no mignolet.....
Where have you given examples as to why the world cup would be a factor in his decision to push for a move?well, i've given a couple of examples. it's not my fault you refuse to buy into it
Unless I'm mistaken, Suarez didn't missed a single game for Liverpool through injury but has missed 3 games for Barca. You're clearly more likely to get injured playing for Barca than LiverpoolHe's saying because he'd be less likely to be injured, which, i can see what he's saying. Whether it's as a bigger factor as he thinks is another question, only Coutinho could really answer that, the logic is there though
I think you were giving cm a bit too much credit anyway. I don't think his Adam comment had anything to do with missing the world cup through injury, it was just a general rant over Adam's history of injuring Spurs players.lol...fair enough. I don't think its a big factor personally, Coutinho is already the star of the Brazil side, him and Neymar.
Agree, he is and would be one of the most logical replacements but as I've been trying to say regarding Coutinho, Barca need to persuade Chelsea too. Chelsea are under no pressure to sell Hazard and although Hazard appears like somebody more likely to kick up a stink, ultimately if Chelsea hold firm he'll have no choice but to knuckle down come September 1st.Hazard is though, I'd have him down to go to Barca without a seconds thought. Doesn't strike me as having a ounce of loyalty similar to Adebayor in that respect.
