It's just a bit of wishful thinking from a Saints perspective really, partly in the hope we have a decent sell on clause, partly because it would be funny to see VVD down tools for Liverpool and force a move to a bigger club like he did to us, less than a year after signing a 6 year contract and being given the captaincy

I'm not under any serious impression he's going to leave to join a Barcelona team that looks dead on it's arse with no plan to recover.
