I always thought Zlatan would do well in the premier league, to be frank, I think he would do well in any league. I dont for a minute though think that Cavani will do well in the premier league, again to be frank, I dont think a prime Cavani would have done well in the premier league, let alone a current Cavani.

Such a huge difference between spending another 5m at £35m and pushing to 100m or past for Sancho. If I was an owner who had been throwing cash at united on high wages and transfers to have them repeatedly fail, I'd be reluctant to spend 100m while watching Liverpool do one good business deal after another both in and out the door. They spent big on a quality player who is the best in the world a in his position or funded it from huge profits selling on. United have completely lost the plot and direction. They are like a poor mans galacticos, but buying one every couple of years to appease the fans. This technique clearly isn't working yet they throw 300k at the next semi retired player.
Having slept on it I'm not unhappy with Cavani, assuming more players come in too. If he can maintain a good level of fitness he's a very experienced, hard working striker. A lot of people who cover Ligue 1 say he's always been one of their better players and is far from past it. His goal record over his career is great too.
The issue is, if it's just him the team really won't improve much as a whole, and we still won't progress this season.
And still the much greater issue is, he's been available since July, the fact we've rushed to sign him in the last 2 days is really quite pathetic. Apparently that meant we could get him on a much lower wage, but that could just be a positive spin on it from the club.

I kind of agree with us bargaining on Telles, his contract expires in 8/9 months and we can offer him a contract in 3 after all.

Williams was a right back, he moved to left because we also had Laird on the right in the youth team. I think the idea is to move him to the right.

There is no point in signing Cavani at all. Id rather we kept Ighalo or just played Lingard, Mata, James as backups for the front 3.
I don't agree there, Cavani is better than them, and a different sort of player.
Yeah, he is massively better than any of them but for the money we will be paying him I think its a stupid transfer. I think there is a high chance he will be another Sanchez. Who knows. I'm getting to the point of indifference to United these days. 7 years of consistent mismanagement has ruined the club. It would almost be easier to swallow if they weren't spending any money but they are just spending it badly and ignoring all the things they should be doing to run a club of Uniteds size.
Sancho isnt happening imo. Its too late in the wondow now.
On Cavani..you have a point. Ive said countless times that Martial isnt good enough for United I certainly think Cavanis better.

It's not about the player. It is the unrest he will cause on the wages he is on. He will do more harm than good. Zlatan was different because he has European values. South Americans are mostly the same. Talented but can be problematic in the dressing room.
Apparently his wage is 170k a week, which isn't particularly much for us. £10m signing/agent fee or so. Assuming that's true. 1 year plus optional 1 year extension.
I can think of worse gambles in fairness, just annoying it's all last minute as usual.
