Cavani is a very hard working striker who seems totally professional, so I'm not too worried about that side of things...

He had barely played for two years. I really hope he proves me wrong but United are not a team that should be taking risks on older player like the Everton's and Spurs of this world.

You don't look great with Shaw either tbf.

And just on this South American thing. I've just had a search for all the South Americans that have ever played for Liverpool and not one caused any sort of problems in the dressing room. Even the Brazilian's liking a party is a bit of an outdated stereotype. I certainly don't see any greater number of Brazilian players enjoying themselves a bit too much compared to British players.

Suarez? He was hardly a model citizen.

He didn't cause any problems in the dressing room. He was a popular member of the squad by all accounts.

As for the players you listed, were any of those problems or just poor signings?
To be fair, Firmino and Alisson have caused us massive issues with their off field antics. I mean what was Alisson doing posting those videos of him singing songs whilst playing his guitar, PR disaster or what.
Some of the clothes Firmino wears are criminal too.

That’s good news if Telles happens. Despite my Brazilian/Utd misgivings he should be an upgrade :)

I think that will be it for our signings though.

VDB must be getting annoyed about not starting a PL game yet.

The only player you listed that had problems was Sanchez really and that was just that he was a bit of a loner. Several of those were very popular in the dressing room.

Anyone know why my post was removed? I fail to see how asking about tightening up our back line was any less relevant than posts like this that are bordering on racist.

It's not about the player. It is the unrest he will cause on the wages he is on. He will do more harm than good. Zlatan was different because he has European values. South Americans are mostly the same. Talented but can be problematic in the dressing room.

You would have received a notification explaining why. You broke spoilers rules - do not post anything related to matches, and certainly not the score, outside the matchday threads.

I don't get why Utd are somehow chasing Sancho....Dortmund set a deadline and it passed...Utd are a shambles in the transfer market.
They shouldn’t be anymore

interesting to see what will transpire, as it stands Ed Woodward needs to go . If he doesn’t then there’s a chance Ole will face the stick instead if results don’t pick up.

every transfer seems to take longer than it needs to due to bargaining or whatever then not even reaching an agreement

Woodward will never go with the current owners in place.

Honestly I don't think the Glazers give even a single **** about United on the pitch. If they did they would have removed Woodward from anything football related. Hes clearly brilliant at the money side of things but he shouldn't be doing anything beyond that. The fact is is speaks volumes about the Glazers intents.

Exactly, he's good at the business/money side, and that's all they care about.

He will go when the money starts going. You can market United as much as you want but results bring in the money. It is also a generational thing that they do not realise is happening. My daughter is 13 and is a minority at school as a United supporter.

This is the annoying thing. After the deadline why didn't they just come out and say we are not going for him so everyone including the staff at the club could get on with their lives. I honestly believe Ole has no idea what has and is happening with the Sancho saga.
