I can't vouch for it's accuracy, but this suggests it's pretty equal: Kylian Mbappe vs Erling Haaland | Compare players (one-versus-one.com) and given I'd say the Bundesliga is a better league than Ligue 1 it could be true.

The leagues are about the same in standard.

Ai but he was exceptional in the world cup of which he has a winners medal for. Haaland however didnt even play in the Euros as he didnt turn up in a qualifier vs Serbia.
 
I'd take Mbappe over Haaland all day. Haaland's a very very good centre forward but he's just that. Mbappe's got so much more to his game - he's capable of playing right across the front line and still being outstanding in any of those positions.

Fwiw, Mbappe's scored or assisted 241 goals in 234 career appearances for Monaco or PSG. Haaland's got 134 goals or assists in 153 career appearances - nearly 2/3's of those appearances coming in 3rd rate leagues. It's probably also worth mentioning that Mbappe's done that while not ever really being the main man in the side he's played in too. Where Mbappe ends up playing is often dependent on Neymar's availability and where he's playing. In the past he's played from the right (when Cavani was around too) and more recently it's switching between through the middle or from the left.

He probably got a bit ahead of himself this summer but he's slowly growing into the main man for both France and PSG and when sides start getting built a bit more around his strengths then I can see him going to the next level and takeover from Messi and Ronaldo as the superstar of world football. I can't see Haaland reaching that level.

Just you wait and see. Haaland is the better player. Much better was perhaps hyperbole but I would rather have Haaland over Mbappe.

He just isnt though? Baz has literally ended that argument. Could you see Haaland playing on the right of a front three? No.

I'm not sure what that has to do with him being a better striker. Being able to play in 5 positions doesn't make you a better player than one that can only play in a couple.

Right so is Haaland a better striker or player? Striker you may have an argument, player? Absolutely not.
 
Arsenal have signed Nuno Tavares from Benfica for £8 million.

Know nothing about him, but with Kieran Tierney's injury issues it'll be good to have some decent cover.
