Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Yes, because Ronaldo is the only footballer/person in the world who tries to maximise the amount they can earn, even if they can afford not to.

Thats not the issue. The issue is that he is behaving like an entitled *******. He didn't show up for pre-season, has been trying to get a move to other clubs and not actually communicating with United. He is welcome to try and get as much as he can but peoples point is that if he cares so much about going to a CL club there are plenty that would take him if he dropped his wage demands enough. He isn't willing to do that and seems to be trying to get United to help him leave after treating them like mugs.

I’m not sure that last part is entirely true. If we had CL football, he wouldn’t have done this. Same for the second year. Then he would have buggered off somewhere else and that’d have been that.

There was an option for a third year I believe and there would have been immense pressure to keep him if we were in CL this season and the season after. He would have stuck around like Rooney did for years after he should have been moved on.

He will never be happy not being the centre of attention or not playing every game despite the fact he isn't capable of it. He will never be happy to put the team before himself.

Cucurella has apparently handed in a transfer request. I hope we stay firm on our asking price though (minus any bonuses he’d be forgoing).

I thought he was happy in Brighton but I do understand his desire to win things. Hopefully he doesn’t throw a strop if he doesn’t leave!
On BBC now so seems like he has handed in a transfer request. Not something you see very often these days! Take note Cristiano.

Leicester reject 40m bid from Newcastle, deciding whether to return with improved bid, Leicester value him at 60m.
No Paqueta then :/ last I heard the new Lyon Boss was refusing to let him go to any club and wants to challenge PSG

Last push in the window seems to be for Maddison and Cornet?

Watched the last 3 friendlies and the team is performing well and look good but the same old problems up front and on the wings ;/ a bit toothless and very wasteful.

Just noticed that Bruno, Paqueta and Cornet all played for Lyon at the same time hah

Still time still time!!

Another potentially useful signing for Forest as we make sure nobody mistakes our intent to stay up, that's 12 signings and we're apparently not finished.

There's obviously a decent amount of risk here, we've signed JL on lol wages, but given we were talking £15m minimum for Keinan Davies + wages, I still think that's a decent gamble.

The other players we've signed seem to have the right pedigree, playing top flight football in their leagues, Champs League even in some cases. Mostly early 20s, on decent length contracts, so likely to increase in value if they do well.

It really comes down to whether they can be molded into a decent team quickly and the obvious holes in the squad can be filled.

Chelsea's transfer approach this summer seems so all over the place. It feels like Todd Boehly's being lead around Europe by various agents, getting talked into trying to sign pretty much anybody.

They’ve basically been Barca’s scouts this summer

Tyler Morton to Blackburn on a season long loan. Surely we absolutely must be getting a midfielder in then? I don’t fancy Hendo, Keita and Thiago all being crocked at some point!
