Summer Transfer Window 22/23

From what I can make out regarding this FDJ saga is he would want to come to Man Utd. Only if he gets what he is owed from Barcelona. Man Utd would have spoken to FDJ or his management about the possibility of moving to us long ago. They would not be still chasing him if he blanket refused to come to us, what would the point be in doing that?. This is all on Barcelona and their **** show of a club. As much as I would like him at Man Utd, I would not want him to not get what is owed and if that means staying at Barcelona, sitting on a bench earning his millions, more fool them to allow it. Barcelona need to stop this, it's ridiculous.

Still not sat on the bench though, even if not in his preferred position.

It will be interesting to see where Barca are at the end of the window because it sounds like they have a few more incoming signings planned. One of which is a CB.

I still think the FdJ deal will happen but I think it will go down to the last week of the window. If he takes the desired paycut to stay then hes an idiot and has probably made himself even more droppable to Barca and as far as I understand it, Barca can't actually register their new players if he stays on his full wages due to the salary cap.

You can't force CR7 to stay and expect him to play well.

As soon as he told us we should have accepted it, told his agent we want £10m and to quietly go find a club for him and just get it done.

Then we could plan ahead and buy accordingly rather than wait until the end of pre season and the have a fracas. It's completely amateur.

And if our sponsors are putting pressure. Tell them to do one, we are a football club and commercial money maker second. Time we remembered that. And cameras panning to the bench or stadium to see CR7s angry face every week won't bring positive press anyway.

That he wanted to leave...
Who says they haven't? Why on earth would we say we're happy to sell him if there are no interested clubs? That just puts us in a bad position. The fact Mendes has been farming him out and more clubs have said they aren't interested than are is telling. He hasn't even handed in a transfer request, just asked to be allowed to leave.

I've no idea I just read running man's post, and clarified it for you :p I've not followed the story as it bores me, although I do find it hilarious that the man that 'loves the club' wants to leave because you didn't get cl football.

Only thing CR7 loves is himself and his legacy. Any utd fans thinking different have been huffing the lighter fluid!

It's always been the case, you can love two things but Ronaldo will always love himself above everything else. It's part of the reason he's made it as far as he has but it does have it's downsides.

Laurie Whitwell has linked us with Benjamin Sesko now. Romano mentioned he was a player we had looked at before but that could be a possible replacement striker. He's very raw though.

Sesko looks incredible, not sure there's anything too concrete yet on that front though. I'd be delighted if we replaced Ronaldo with him.
