Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Is there anything in these Abraham to Liverpool links other then what he apparently said to Trent?

I dont think so, I think he was joking cracking a joke with Trent. Tbh though, I wouldnt be against it as a move, I always felt that Abraham was a good goalscoring talent who would excel with the right players around him. I remember his loan season at Villa where he scored for fun. Plus he'd likely be relatively cheap and with Klopp overseeing him, who knows what he could achieve. However I still think it was just a joke.

Talking of rumours though, anyone know if theres any truth to the 90m bid from Utd for Nunez ?

If United pay anything close to 90mil for Nunez I will in tears lmao. That will never happen. They are stupid but not that stupid.,

What makes you think he would be cheap? He was £36m to Roma and he has had a good season. I reckon you would be paying £50m+ for him.

I would be amazed if United are paying 90m for Nunez in any currency as well. Sounds like we are far more concerned about our midfield than forward and there seems to be more noise about de Jong than anyone else right now. He would not be cheap either.

50m for a 24 year old striker who scored almost 30 goals last season is relatively cheap. Relatively being the key word of my sentence.

I put nothing past the stupidity of Man Utd, any board who decided that Maguire was worthy of being the worlds most expensive defender is capable of anything :D

You forgot English tax. Next summer Chelsea have a buy back of 68 mil so I imagine Roma would be hesitant to sell for 50 mil. I think they'd want 60+

I'd be ok with 60 too, not too many 24 year old strikers around who have scored 53 goals in their last 90 games, and have premier league experience and are a fully capped international, who are available for 60m. If Mane goes for 35m this summer then we could do a lot worse than Abraham for a net spend of 25m

Well when you have a Nunez being spoken about for 100mil then yea you couldnt grumble with 60mil.

Sounds like all of our eggs are in the Frenkie de Jong basket at the moment. He's not overly enthusiastic about joining but Barca have decided to cash in as they're broke.

At least he knows Ten Hag and will seriously improve the midfield situation. Hope it gets done.

Can't see it tbh, no way he will wanna trade Champions league football for Europa, and also the chance to work under one of the best midfielders ever.

Unless Barca are absolutely ****** and there it no other way to raise the cash I just can't see it. Going to United at the current point as well is probably 3 years wasted of his career, won't win a title or the champs league. Will be lucky if he wins anything.

On another note they have been massively Impressed with Andreas Perrerea?

Strange take. Why would Xavi be a big draw for a player. Hes not considered one of the best managers around or even one of the best upcoming managers. Who cares if Xavi was one of the best midfielders ever. He wasn't the same style of midfield as De Jong. Hes not played in his favoured position at Barca and they have a few highly talented midfielders there already who are seemingly preferred to FdJ.

Barca desperately need money as well.

United won 2 trophies under Mourinho, nearly won the EL again under Ole and he would be going to a team coached by someone he knows, respects and who would use him in his best position. He would also be a vital player at United instead of another cog in the machine at Barca.

There are plenty of reasons for him to come to United and plenty of reasons for him to end up elsewhere. You are dramatically over-exaggerating the negatives.

Do you want to be buying a player that doesn't really want to go to you by all accounts, would appear he is being forced out due to barca's cash flow issues.
