compared to Ligue 1, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga the Premier League is an embarrassment of riches. The team that comes 20th in the PL makes more than some league champions in those leagues.In the 20/21 season Sheffield United took in £91 million.

Inter Milan won its first Series A title in eleven years and will receive €23.4 million while the second positioned club will pocket €19.4 million followed by the third-placed club who will receive €16. 8 million. Juventus and Napoli finished fourth and fifth respectively on the Serie A points table. As per the reports, Serie A prize money for the 2022/21 season was around €1.1 billion.

La Liga TV rights are now under collective agreement but with clauses for the past five years performance granting extra cash. Their earnings for the top teams are now on par with the Premier League although lower placed teams are still far worse off.

Bayern got €65.4m as league winners Last season.

Not sure who you're responding too really Misschief. 1.1 billion for Serie A last year? That means an average of 55m no? That seems a bit high if the highest was 23.4m the season before.

€1.1Bn is the total, with more going to the winners in a descending scale.

So they went from one season the highest being 23.4m and the next season the average for the league was 55m? Why do I not believe these figures.

Martinez is 57m euros, not sterling but there are addons that could take it to 67m euros. Still cheaper than both Ruben Dias and Laporte.

Funny to me as last season on the caf, quite a few Utd fans were saying Ben White was too short at 6ft.

He’s not 5’7, he’s 5’9.

He’s fared well for Ajax when playing against big strikers (most notably Haaland). So we shall see.

Cannavaro was a similar height and one of the best defenders Italy have produced. Captain for Italy's world cup win and one of only 3 defenders to win the Ballon d'Or. You know the one VVD came third in.

Arsenal were in for him as well so there must be something to him. That's two players that have been poached from captain black now.

That’s 5’9 isn’t it? I think the measurements can differ slightly depending on how they’re converted.
