Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Caqueret plays as a 6. It was him and Bruno together at Lyon and Caqueret was the more defensive minded of the pair.
Yup, but he's much more of a presser and passer than a holder, from what I've seen of him. Wonderful player though, and I'd love us to get him.

I'm really not happy with Maguire.

I know he's entitled to sit and collect his money, does he not care about his career? He won't feature much for us unless we have a lot of injuries. I think we'll sign another centre back so he'll be 5th choice.

He's become a hate figure for a significant section of supporters, and this will make it worse; he will be abused, derided and viewed as avaricious.

Also, he's unlikely to be playing for England either if he's not featuring at all for the club, although Southgate is useless so you never know.

But ultimately, he has woefully underperformed for us since he joined. Was it the clubs fault he started having a fight with Greek police and got arrested? No. His form fell off a cliff after that (wasn't great to start with anyway).

All that said, the club should have just paid him off. £7m is not that big of a deal and him remaining at the club could cause some problems.

Look away liverpool fans :D

Chelsea agree £58m Lavia deal

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Southampton for midfielder Romeo Lavia.
The deal is worth £58m, comprised of an initial £53m + £5m in add-ons.
Lavia has been given permission to undergo a medical.

Not that bothered tbh. That's a lot of money for someone with very little experience.

The idea that he got a little upset that we went for Caicedo and thats influenced his decision...despite signing for the club that actually signed Caicedo is hilarious.

Didn’t like the idea that he was 2nd choice for Liverpool in the transfer market so instead goes to a club where he will be 2nd choice in the team.

Fab now saying saying what the locals are saying we trying to get Lewis Hall in. Would be fantastic if we got him on loan and pick him up next season.

@Robbo maguire knows he will be nailed on for England under Southgate. I think he's now doing it out of spite given how he's been thrown under the bus. Can't exactly blame him forgoing all that dosh either - utd should have coughed up

He already is and has been. It can't get worse.

Or fair play to him for actually toughing it out and wanting to stay and fight for a place at your club, even if it doesn't work out for him internationally. It seems like from all the paper talk he was financially not going to be far off what he gets paid but play in a much ****er side. If they were the only club in for him and he doesn't want to go there and would rather test his ability then good on him. I mean he must look at Fat Shaw and think if that lump can get a game I can't be a million miles off :D

Someone needs to tell Maguire he just isn't good enough. In his mind he must think he is a victim in all of this.

Gareth automatically picking him for England doesn't help or ETH saying if he want to fight for his place then fight.

It's going to get depressing how many top level lates 20's are going to use that as a huge last pension fund. The sooner they are saturated with them the better.
