Superdry - how warm are their coats??

As you are in UK, sack a jacket off all together. Tshirt at night time in uk during the winter is pretty standard for a night out. Beer coat!

Pretty hard not to wear stuff others are wearing unless you want custom made stuff or are shopping in exclusive boutiques...

The reason us 40+ers are wearing it is because it's in the 40+ shops ;)

Quality of the jackets is ok but I wouldn't pay over 70€ for it. (what I paid for mine in Jan sales.)

Still muss my duck and cover duffel... :(
 
Update:

I bought the Superdry Windbomber. It just wasn't very warm at all, unfortunately. I have taken it back and procured a new coat from Asos, which should be arriving today.

Be warned, Superdry have a retarded returns policy. If there's no defect with the coat and it was purchased in store, they will give you a bloody credit note! I'm never going in there again, so **** the credit note.

They do seem to have nice jumpers, though.
 
I find the best place to get good winter coats is House of Frasier in the spring, they're all discounted. I got an amazing Calvin Klein coat there a few years back. It looks great and it keeps me warm with just a t-shirt on underneath.

I'm needing a suitable casual warm winter coat (got smart ones but no casual ones). I was originally going for a Superdry one, but the quality people have mentioned seems to be a bit of an issue!
 
It confuses me how these makes designed for outdoorsy types become 'fashion' :confused:. Berghaus have always been designed for outdoor use, yet when I was at school they were the coolest thing ever and only the super cool rich kids had them. They were even described as a 'chav make' on here lol.

Is it just that they cost more and so people correlate that with fashion?

You will look like a right bell end if you wear a ski jacket everywhere. I've got a ski jacket but I don't wear it all the time, certainly not round the shops or down the pub!
 
I bought the Superdry SD - 3 Parka, seems warm enough and waterproof, haven't been out in torrential rain or artic temperatures yet but i tend to avoid them using taxis.
