They've got a smaller budget for the show now it's on The CW. I think it was $3m per episode on CBS. No idea what it is now, but it would seem they making much better use of what budget they do have.

Getting rid of Mrs Ford, or at least cutting the amount of episodes she is in right down, will help. I would imagine she got a sizable pay cheque for the first season.

As for the CGI; it's being done by the same team that does it for the other CW shows. Clearly that team is more capable than whoever did them for the show on CBS, producing a better end product with less money.

Anyway; I liked that episode. So far a good start to the second season, and finally a Superman that does what Superman should do; bring hope! None of that bleak nonsense, that is Zack Snyder's take on the Man of Steel.

Lots of reports of the big cross overs between arrow, flash, legends of tommorow and supergirl.

And freaking lol @ that comment the wizard is to blame for super girls non pierced ears

I believe its around episode 8 of Supergirl/Flash/Arrow/Legends

They must have got a few more quid in the kitty for Supergirl as the cg is looking better than S1.

I believe the team in Vancouver is supposedly much more in tune with the shows for CG and effects than the LA team for CBS was, oh and I believe its cheaper as well.

Calista Flockhart was, I believe, the highest paid member of the cast and lives in LA so it was inevitable that her character would be removed/reduced due to the move to Vancouver. I gotta say I was never a fan of her in her early days but lately she does come across very sexy/confident/attractive/funny and a great body/face for her age... Now for Mr Ford to continue his piloting antics and I can have her all to myself.. :D

She doesn't actually look like that. She made them use all sorts of camera filters/tricks to smooth her face out and look younger.

Make up can do wonders. I think there are probably quite a few famous actresses that men drool over would look pretty ordinary without all their face plastering.

Well that's quite the stark contrast. Pretty sure they did a similar cg "de-aging" thing in Terminator Genisys to Arnie, he wasn't quite as old looking in the first half but looked older in the second half in 2017 as he should have.,

Holy smokes, that was a shock. Now I am having my doubts with Melissa?

She's plenty of pics floating around...some of the porn variety as well from that fapenning leak. I'm surprised they kept her for the Supergirl role considering those pics were very explicit to say the least.

he also needs to hit the gym, he looks more like Plasticman.

every one thinks superman should be all muscle, but think about it, as anyone who been to a gym knows, to build muscle to have to use muscle, but superman strength (in the current version of him) doesn't come from his muscles, it comes from the yellow sun of earth. So as he never uses his muscles how can he build muscle, should Superman not be a FAT blob ?

That's the thing about comic book heros they are all meant to be fit as hell (cliche) in peak physical condition particularly in appearance regardless of their story and abilities. This is intentional as many creators wanted to emphasis their physical strength and power. But yeah it doesn't make sense in the normal sense because they always have some explanation to account for it :D

Last episode was a bit confusing. I know this is a TV adapation which can differ from source material but...

Martian Manhunter is virtually invunerable with only a physical weakness to "fire". Yet in this episode he got taken down by a couple of guys with guns??

Mon-el - Daximtes are Kryptonians who moved to Daxam from Krypton but here they dont have the same powers??

Yeah, I was wondering how they could take MM down with tazers. Also, what was forcing them to fight and what was stopping him or her from simply leaving?

ROFL exactly. :D
