Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I've been using Total Protein for the last few months, fancy trying something new and have been reading good things about Myofusion.

I'd be going from 46g of protein per serving down to 25g although it's supposed to be of higher quality?

Bizarre that you've gotten so unlucky! Surely they will compensate you in some way for messing you about so much...

Well i've been a loyal customer for 5 years (looking back at my email receipts), and never had an issue. Since the buyout i've had 2 cases of dire customer service.

Compensation. Doubt it unless I kick up a fuss. Didn't even get an apology last time.

I always say you really find out how good a company is when things go wrong.

Spent £250 on supplements today :( getting everything in for the diet so I shouldn't have to buy anything until the competition now but still, hurt spending that much at once :(

What pre-workout you going for?
Steedie it seems a lot but that's only because it's normally spread over the year.

Cooking my own up because i'm penny pinching, but basing it off the basics of neurocore.

caffeine, creatine, beta alanine and l-citrulline.

for the same amount of servings as a £40 tub of neurocore its gonna cost me less than 20 quid

got some mini digital scales for xmas that weigh in 0.01gs :) my mum was a bit curious what i needed them for :p

Funny I bought some scales from the rainforest and it then added 'baggies' to my recommendations. Does anyone know the best place to get slow release alpha lipoic acid? The half life on the normal stuff is a bit rubbish for what I want it for.

Can anyone recommend the best kind of Calcium supplements you can get? I pretty much haven't ingested any sort of calcium in god knows how long and it's starting to worry me a bit. Cracking joints etc.

Seems like i'm not the only one having issues

Enough unhappy people on there.

Can't believe myprotein send out the customer satisfaction survey before they send out the goods. Still not heard back from them, but been asked to review their service HAHA

All companies have negative reviews though. That's less than 1/4 under 4 stars, hardly bad for a place that deals with such a huge volume of orders.

Look at ocuk on there, horrible reviews all round but i never had anything but perfect customer service in the past

I would say a 25% failure rate is pretty bad. Fact of the matter is i don't get any response from them unless i post something in full public view (facebook).

I have had orders with OcUK where things have gone wrong, but they have at least responded to my tickets.

I don't think it's a conincidence that i've been a customer for 5 years (next week) and and prior to the buyout i had 0 issues, since the buyout both orders i've made have had serious issues. Coming up to 10 working days delay between them.

Well another posting on their facebook wall finally got my order "replaced in the system". And no, no offer of any compensation, not even refund of next day delivery fee. guess i'm gonna have to get arsey.

Very disappointed I pay for next day delivery and not receive my order today! Why should I pay a premium for this if you cannot deliver? Not happy.

myprotein.co.uk Apologies that there's been a delay on your order Gareth. If you contact our CS team they'll be happy to provide you with a refund on the delivery cost.

I guess you just need to tell them to give you a refund :p

Can I ask did you dpd next day delivery? Seems the same has happened to me ordered tuesday with their next day delivery as this was after there 2pm cut off I expected order to be processed by Wednesday and delivered thursday. Today 1 of the two packages came (they split up the order).... My empty tub lol. Funnily enough the first tracking number showed up on Wednesday and i could see it however the second one has only just changed on dpd - this must mean they have just recieved it. could have done with receiving today however hmm to complain about reviving it 1 day late? I did pay for the extra service...

No i had Yodel. I know they have a lot of bad press, but my local depot seems to be pretty reliable.

It wasn't the courier company though. MP LOST my order. Apparently it had vanished from their system so i had to send them the confirmation email and they re-added it.

Ah i see. Glad they have sorted yours out now though but is abit of a PITA. My problem is that they seemed to dispatch only one of my orders and send off the second when i chased it up! Never used them prior to the take over but they seem abit lax for what is essential just boxing up products...
