Thinking of PWO carbs, I can't bring myself to believe dextrose is the answer. I mean, long term it can't be good having 60g+ of sugar 4 times a week.

This looks interesting - http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/vitargo_pure

Dextrose IS the answer.
If you want to take to the next level have your 60g of sugar in a 50:50 ration of dextrose and maltodextrin.
Anything else is just over hyped glorified corn flour. you need a fast absorbing carb, so whatever you replace it with it will still have the same potential "negative" effects

Long term it's not that bad considering you deliberately give yourself an insulin spike at the right time for a desired effect.
60+grams of sugar can be find in any 0.5L soda - the average person has that (and often much more) daily anyway.

I've recently obtained Dextrose, not training this week though so can't test it's effectiveness yet :p

Will see how my back is next week and hopefully start up again. Felt my back twinge this morning when whisking over the sink :o

I feel very little difference from adding in dextrose to my PWO shake, I'd much rather grab my carbs in the form of whole foods.

Well I can't imagine what difference you'd expect to see, as it's not really possible to measure it without setting up a carefully controlled experiment :p

Yea ive been using oneon.co.uk for about a year now, great service, good delivery and their whey is great, i got the chocolate last time which was nice, going to give the banana a go today

Aye thats what i had been thinking, and by stims i mean large ounts and concentrated as sone pwo such as jack3d have higher levels of caffiene etc than superpump and people often experience crashes.

I'm simply after sonething that will give me some energy boost as i prefer to goto the gyn very early in the morning 6.30am, but not give too much of a booost wich from review superpump max seems to be one of the better for.

I was on MyProtein's Pulse for a bit, and it made me awake and gave me good muscular pumps, the problem is, i found my body got used to the effect after 4 weeks, so i don't buy it anymore.

Yep I mean post :) That's sort of what I mean, I've mixed my diet up a lot since I started training and without seeing some sort of boost from doing it then why add in a load of simple sugars that I could use somewhere else in my diet in the form of oats, brown rice, pasta or something else.

Nevermind, got it working. Accidentally tried to apply it to protein and because it didnt work, it wouldnt work on anything else. Had to clear cache, close browser and go back in.
