Supplements the debate/discussion thread

You can train fasted, or just take some BCAAs and a banana with a shot of coffee ;)

Still don't understand how you can train early though :o

This is what I do. I dont have to be at work until 9am, but I get up at 5, just so I can actually wake up, get some caffeine and BCAA down me and do my workouts :D. Although towards the end of the day, im drooling in the corner once the caffeine crash hits :o

Agreed, if you _need_ to take it then it's a problem. If you're taking it to build on an already solid workout/diet then no harm.

That's what I was driving at. :) However, we're talking at a fairly advanced level of training here - with no offence to most people here, it doesn't apply to them.

It really depends on your definition of early.

My alarm goes off at 8, I get out of bed at half 8, make a shake, drink shake, get dressed, cycle to gym, in gym or pool at about 9... Most people wouldn't say that was early....

Once I've got a job in sept it might be most interesting mind...

I'm at work already at around 8! bloody students :p

I'd have to hit the gym at 4am to get into the office on time - never going to happen :p

I have no idea where all your hours go :)

Anyway, that said, today's fun discussion for this evening?

Warm Shakes:
Thoughts on how it effects flavour?
Thoughts on whether it effects the breakdown of the protein/creatine/dextrose/whatever you take :p

Did this one yesterday (by accident as it happens - I ran the tap and didn't leave it to cool down after someone had just used the hot), anyway, hot chocolate and peanut butter shake before bed was surprisingly nice :)

I've never thought about having them warm. Nice find, shall give it a go at some point.

Finish work at around 6 or so - 1.75hrs in the gym (+driving to the local gym if there was one near work), so 730-8pm. 1.5hrs to get home....

I'd rather get home, then it's only a 5min drive from home and my other half can start dinner (I normally cook on non training days) and then can eat by around 830-9. :)

I have to take 3 trains to get to my head office - takes just as long, and I prefer being in my car - and I get paid my mileage! :p

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying, if I can do all that ****, cook clean, train, work, etc... then there's no excuse for anyone ;)

@ kimi:

Just look at the ingredients of Craze before you splurge on it and fail to notice anything because of your caffeine tolerance levels.

The easiest way to deal with this specific problem is to reduce your caffeine dependence: I did this simply because I spent a week with AWFUL coffee, which was so bad I was happy with the cold turkey that ensued.

Lo and behold, a week later, taking my normal 250/300mg of caffeine pre-workout actually helps.

The only thing in Craze which as any evidence supporting its function as a 'stimulant' to help with "mind-muscle" connection (their words) is caffeine. If your caffeine tolerance is high, then I submit you'll only get a placebo effect.

Just my 2p. And I'm also to eat a hat of some description when evidence (not colloqual 'ZOMGs') appears to demosntrate the difference.
As far as I can remember, there is more to Craze than caffeine.

I'm too tired and lazy right now to check, but I remember reading that there was "only" 80-90g of caffeine per scoop...or was it serving... either way, not enough to account for the full effect.

Just correcting in case anyone didn't click :p.

God, just imagine how horrible it would feel to have 90g of caffeine in you :(

There is more to Craze, but nothing with any evidence of working or actually doing anything for 'focus'. Considering the amount of evidence they spout to show how awesome caffeine is...

To be fair, however, I'd never stop somebody buying it If they thought it worked, but as far as I can see, it is just an apparently very expensive form of caffeine. :(

The feedback from people taking craze say how amazing it is. It's touted as not being massively reliant on caffeine either as ice mentioned.

You can get a free power tower at my protein if you spend over £15 and use the code FREEPT

No idea if anyone wants one mind :p

The other thing in craze that is supposed to give a good amount of the effects is an extract from an orchid iirc, can't remember the ingredient name off the top of my head though.
