Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Yeah, online P&P kills it.

Even when you're buying in bulk 5KG the margin still doesn't drop much.

I'm can't remember the prices but Costco do sell nuts.

Resorted to buying a 200g mixed bag of walnuts, cashews, almonds, macadamian etc) for £2.50 and then I usually mixe in some chocolate covered peanuts (to satisfy my dreamer bulk) which are on offer atm, 200g bag for 50p.

so how do you explain someone winning a BB contest whilst training for 9 hours per day and eating pretty much nothing (huge deficit)? in order to win this contest they had to drop like 10% bodyfat within 2 months.

how do you explain this routine and diet regime which was made for her by pro's?

There isnt anything wrong with what she did, IF all she wanted was to get ripped.

She'll lose muscle, no doubt, but she will get totally ripped - which is what actually happened.

The problem here is that she may lose too much muscle.

Dont forget though, that doing a brutal regime like she did, is not healthy for your body. So, assuming that most of us are looking to be healthy, getting ripped, so quickly is likely to put your body under serious pressure.

Best place for nuts online.

Whole peanuts (without shell, almonds , cashews ?

Inb4 lemonparty.

B&M, Home Bargains, Aldis or Lidls are the cheapest /100g for nuts/almonds/cashews. Usually stock up on walnut halves/almonds/peanut raisin mix.

Also poundland have JA Pork Crunch 5 packs for £1. I bought every bag they had last time. Home bargains have a box of 28 at 29p per bag. Just depends on where you go. 17g of protein for 20p? yes please.

MP are about to get spammed for discount codes now.. OcUK Style!

I played the 'TPW payday deal = t% + free delivery'. Got a £200 order in my basket, you can secure it if you can beat what they are offering.

Upped my order to £250 once I had the code, so saved £50 and they sent me blue bands instead of reds so extra profit there even though the blue bands are overkill due to being so damn tough!

My Protein true whey - what's people's thoughts?

Used it for ages, when whey didn't have VAT on and I could get it at £23 a tub in bulk.

Just use impact whey now the flavour selection has expanded.

Be better off buying impact whey and adding a tailored dose of Glutamine/BCAAs/Leucine yourself.

Hit your macros and follow a routine that will yield strength/size gains if adhered too.

BCAAs = not unless you're training fasted
Oats = just one means of hitting your carb macros (rice, potatoes, pasta etc).

Sorry to butt in but I almost always go to the gym fasted when working late shift, just can't eat so early before I hit the gym, would BCAA's help my workouts in this instance?

Possibly, possibly not (that you'd notice).

Studies indicate a massive reduction in circulating cortisol from consumption of BCAAs prior to working out fasted, which reduces the potential for muscle breakdown.

Does this equate to a concomitant reduction in gainz? Never been measured... possibly because it would be impossible to measure/quantify any statistically significant difference... [/THETRUTHISOUTTHERE...]

Yeah I forgot to add, I have Xtend before I train fasted more as a precautionary measure than anything else. Not training fasted all the time, it takes me a fair old while to get through a tub, so it's not like it's an expensive insurance policy for avoiding any catabolism. It has zero effect on my actual workouts - I usually have a strong black coffee as well which does give me a tiny kick.
