Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I don't mind hearing your reasoning - it's not really going to endear you dropping a comment like that with nothing more than a full stop. I am genuinely keen on you elaborating a little more as to why you'd think that?

so has anyone tried the olympus health protein? Got mine today and tried the first shake.. I normally drink 2x per day 50kg/each

this turned my normal 300ml of water into a protein pudding lol.. needs 500ml/50g.. tastes alright tho

Just had a look if the numbers are to be believed (which at that price point, I don't for a second believe it) then 10g per 100g of sugar is actually pretty decent for a flavoured whey.
It'll be the Calcium Caseinate turning it into wallpaper paste.

if you look at the unflavoured price of the goprotein its not that much cheaper.. I bought it because I prefer the plastic tubs..

LMAO.. only way to get those gainz..

- my inspiration.. just 3000g/day tho.. If I don't get my 100kg day I can't see myself beating that guy :o

What flavour did you get?
I tried Cookies and Cream and that's pretty bad.
I mix 1 scoop of olympus + 1 scoop of unflavoured whey and mix that into water, filling up the entire shaker. I use a handheld blender. Without the blender the protein is difficult to mix.

This is excellent stuff if you are dieting and need to cut the calories. It is very filling.

Looking at the nutrition, in every 100g of product, there is 10g of carbs and 78g of protein, which is pretty good for the price.

The taste and consistency of Cookies and Cream is terrible, though.

So, they are lying and breaking the law?

It wouldn't be the first time it's happened, whether intentionally or because they've been misinformed by their supplier.
Google "STC Protein" if you want an example, it seemed too good to be true and in the end it was and I'm sure it was still more expensive than this stuff and that's back when whey was cheaper.

Bros,

Rum n Raisin ice cream flavor whey from TPW is incredible, totally loving it, Butterscotch is also banging the right buttons. Blueberry bag yet to be opened.

Have you started lifting yet?

(Genuine question: I just assume if people don't have an updated log, they are not...)

So, i have a Zinc deficiency!

Had a blood test done and given a list of foods to eat to boost it up. Dr also told me i could take Zinc tablets, there is so many available i don't know which ones to use?

Two things: I don't think there will be too much difference in zinc tablets, so just go for the cheapest. However, some chaos on here spend a lot of money on vitamins and the like, so may be able to help more if any more help is to be had! :)

The other trick to this is just eating more whole, unprocessed food, too (particularly those your doctor has suggested). Yes, this will push against one of the symptoms of zinc deficiency (low appetite) but there we go.

Good work on getting the process for working this out started! Keep going! :)

you would be better off rather than just buying zinc, buying a multi vitamin or ZMA, etc. ZMA is basically zinc and magnesium and is supposed to help with sleep as well as a host of other things.

otherwise to cover all the bases a multivitamin such as opti men or orange triad (the two best on the planet) would pretty much sort out any deficiency and cover any bases.

or just buy a cheap multivitamin from go nutrition or myprotein, etc.

or if your really tight just get some zinc from your local supermarket.

in any case if your looking for other supplements as well then;
